Ok, so this is my first review so please don't judge! :)

This game...

It's unreal, one of only 2 games (the other being terraria) that has ever given me back that feeling I had as a child, where I'd wait for pokemon games or fifa games. That feeling of happiness and joy that seems to be disappearing with all the games we play today. This game is incredible. But now to the game.

You're a survivor in one of two towns (more coming and plenty available in the workshop) trying to fight his or her way through a zombie apocalypse. With crafting aplenty and incredible survival mechanics, this game will put you in incredibly tight situations, where pressure and decision making are vital! (example: I was in a room with 4 zombies pounding on the door, with my limited nails and hammer I boarded up the door to buy myself more time to think. This was a fatal error, as I no longer had the nails required to attach my sheetrope to escape through the window. Rather than face the encroaching zombies with my damaged baseball bat, I decided to attempt the jump from the second floor. Bad choice. I broke my leg on impact, but managed to slink away slowly to my home. Here I tried to survive for several days, before getting caught out by a small horde as I chopped wood.)

The choices you make are vital. Most importantly you have to remember death is permanent, however you can respawn into the same world as a different survivor, if you want to return to your base.

With meta sounds throughout ensuring that the zombies are constantly moving, the challenge is always there. You might go to sleep and awake to zombies breaking into your house, because a horde to the south heard a gunshot to the North. And if you hear the chopper.... Well in this case, don't listen to Arnie and don't get to the choppa!

There are also plenty of sandbox modes where you can alter zombie respawn rates and whatnot if you find the game too challenging.

Lastly multiplayer. They recently implemented a simple to use server hosting system, allowing people to make small co-op servers to play with their friends. Alternatively go for the full PVP or roleplaying experience with permanent servers that are easily available to find.

Lastly the price of this game. For the amount of enjoyment you can experience from this game, the money paid is totally worth it. On sale, it'll never go below halfprice, but honestly this game is worth it at full price.
