If you played Stalker 1 back in the day, and liked it in spite of its issues, then this will be more than a good purchase.

If you know your way around text-file editing, then you will be full of joy.

Example. You cannot rebind the scroll wheel in the menus. But it can be done through the text-files. Which means that they have built the game with mods in mind. Hopefully they release the modding tools in short order, so the community can add things like

All weapons can slot all types of scopes.
Remove 99.9% of food found while exploring.
Add a vendor that only deals with ammo. So that you can convert the ammo you do not use to the ones you want to use.

If they provide good modding tools, then I expect this game to give the abused modding community around Bethesda games a new haven to move to.

So yea. It has issues. But it is an upgrade, realised and potential, to the old Stalker games.

It is good. Worth the base cost. And the live service seem to be on the same wave-length as Warframe.

Simple, no story but the one players and developers create together, and so much deeper than what is first apparent.

Don't grind, just play. The progression is well tuned and quick enough as it is.

My biggest gripe, which might just be that I am getting older. But the aim and parry system seems very inconsistent to me. But as I said, I could just be getting older.

It is unfinished. Input reminders are hard coded. Even though I do not use E to activate, it still asks for it.
To use ranged or umbral lamp, you first have to press 1 of 2 buttons, then hold a 3rd button. So you need 3 buttons to do the same as two. But added complexity to make it less smooth to play. Oh, and dont forget to lock-on, or you might play the animation to no use.

Oh, and keybinds reset each time you quit the game.

It seems pointless writing a review of this game. This one is a milestone. And those that have not played it, cannot be viewed as having a valid and informed opinion about gaming as a medium of entertainment.

It is very good. Do play.

It is fun. And it is 40k. Nuff said.

Starkiller StJohn up in da house! I always appreciate his entries as a game actor, so that alone gives me an incentive to push through the jank. Because the dodge-melee-quick-time-ish thing they have going on in this game. It is not great. Nope. Not so my shizzle wiener sniztchel with them stichchel.

I honestly have no clue what I am trying to do here. Lets just leave that bit.

Basically for Callisto Protocol 2.
Add FOV
Do the melee-shooty system from Remnant: From the Ashes. But better somehow.
Give us a futuristic european longsword.

It needs updates. Ability to see the entire map, preferably through unlocked camera zoom. And it needs to accept mouse buttons for rebinding.

But it is good. Just like a good 40k game, it has broken builds that ridicules the enemy.

You know what will protect you just as well against an arrow as well as a Plasma rifle?
