Right, so let's talk about this game shall we? Coming from a background of a lot story driven games as my favorite choices, I can confidently say that on story telling this game delivers big time. The only issue I find in it, is the pacing, there are times where you feel like you need have rewind button to get all the indepth details. Especially when some of the side quests come into play. But overall, the story is a gripping adventure that keeps you engaged from start to end.

Gameplay can feel a bit wonky, it is a learning curve with weapon and skill combo's you can have, and in that lies the real challenge, as upgrading your weapons, talent points etc. is something you don't -just- reset without paying a price. Mobs and Quest have a decent difficulty and some depending on the how you've upgraded yourself, can at times feel like fighting a Dark-souls-esc battle.

Is there anything I would have liked to be different? Well, a longer story for one, perhaps a bit more varied end content that lets it feel like you've now truly become a master of your weapon and skill. A plot-twist somewhere there as well and of course, a sort of multiple endings deal... Why the multiple endings? Well, there were some encounters that gave the heavy vibe that different outcomes could be reached depending on dialog, but that wasn't the case, and felt really unfulfilling.

I recommend giving this game a go if your looking a fabulous story with fun fantasy hack'n'slash.
7/10 - would play again.

Frostpunk is the sort of game you can play at any time of the year and any time of the day. The many ways to build your society to survive along with all the challenges makes it a chillingly refreshing City builder survival game. Despite having played it since its release, I keep coming back for more. The difficulty curve is nice and smooth and you can easily sense it steady rising depending on the gameplay you choose. the Learning curve as well is simple and easy and it wont take long before you build a metropolis within a frozen over world. That at least is my positive side of the review.

Personally, while I love all the game has to offer, even its endless mode, I will say that there is a severe lack of updates and content to keep the player base engaged and wanting for checkup. I would love to see them come with new content, or challenges instead of letting it gather dust while they finish making the sequal. I am not expecting something big, personally. Just enough to keep people in the loop and having fun.

All in all, if you are looking for several hours of fun and a fetching story about the end and possible rebirth of the world and humanity after an iceage cataclysm, I warmly recommend this game.

A true old school classic that gets you invested with the characters of the game. I am usually very critical when it comes to old school RPGs, but when something with a classic amazing story with twists and turns and depths like this comes up, I fall in love.

The music is great, the dialog is interesting and it brings all the feelings of nostalgia straight back at you and never lets up. If you want a game that is fun and impressive for its age, I would recommend this to anyone, it's quiet the journey with a satisfying conclusion.

I took the time to complete the 3 chapters available in all the various ways I could possibly think off, and I was challenged with various decisions, that one could put to test in real life as well. I absolutely adored the colorful story and all the puns, and spend most of the time laughing at the scenes. The graphics are gentle on the eyes, and colors are vibrant, and I was honestly saddened when I couldn't continue my adventure through this amazing adventure(s). A good game for all ages, and definately something that can be played through a couple times more after completion.

A great game with a neat story, and captivating scenery. The music fits to each momment of the game, and combat system is fluid and challengin. This game actually had me sit on the edge of my chair while laughed at some of the jokes/Phrases and cursed at each enemy when I almost died or fell down to the void.

I'd wish the game was longer, but considering there are more games like this I belive it's a good "Sequel" to the others, telling about hte origin and rising of Dante the Devil hunter.
