Game is essentially in alpha right now. You can't even adjust settings in game. When the game is no longer in this state I will rereview it, but don't buy it now you won't end up playing it much until its updated.

At the moment it is a good game, but it is going to evolve as work is done on it. I was playing before early access because I backed it on kickstarter and it has already changed a lot. I fully expect this game to evolve into something amazing. Also the game is extremely addictive.

Fun little puzzle box game. Hints are given in a way that makes you still feel accomplished when you figure things out. The puzzle element isn't all that difficult, but the game does feel rewarding. Also the atmosphere for the game is amazing.

So as a big fan of the Bloons TD series I was happy to jump in and play this game. I am still happy that I tried it and the game is ineed fun, but the game has some huge flaws.

Okay so how is this game pay to win when you can just unlock the stuff through playing the game. Well having unlocks is superior to not having them and in quick match mode (the mode I primarily tried) there is an energy system. Energy gives you boosts for your battle like a brief period of increased tower attack speed or increased balloon strength sent to your opponent. If you have full energy (which you can pay money to get) you will win all other factors being equal.

So I jumped into a game where you put medallions on the line (the in game currency) and I having 3 hours of gameplay and not a lot unlocked was matched against a 97% win rate player with 1000s of medallions to spend. I had 20 medallions.

Honestly the game is fun, but I really can't support a game with these insanely expensive micro transactions that do give an advantage to the person who has either put in more time or spent money.
