Nier: Automata was my introduction to the fractured timeline that is the Draken Guard series, Even then, Nier Automata is an absolutely incredible standalone game with a slow woven story, characters you grow to care for, and an OST worth listening to on repeat despite it being 3 hours long. If you decide to play Nier Automata, be prepared for a long game and playing it a minimum of three times if you want the full story. And please, get to the true final end credits, it is a beautiful encapsulation of the game that gives you a perfect break-off point to finally put the game down.

It's a short game with a simple enough plot to move you forward and keep you interested to see what else there is to see in your little sub. Bought it for like 10% off, but I'd say the $6 is still worth if for the hour you get out of it.

This game is an amazing call back to old school shooters (such as DOOM, and Unreal Tournament) in aesthetics, gameplay, and secrets. While I may say 'call back', it would be better to say is stands on the shoulders of the old school giants, and does to proudly and competently. The music is amazing, the weapon sound design is on point, the enemies are varied enough to keep you entertained, and the map design well done. Speaking of map design, the secrets laid out in the maps are well hidden, hidden well enough that the first episodes final boss has a secret and that level is basically a hallway and the boss room and I haven't found it. Given the old school FPS nature replayability is limited beyond searching for secrets and beating it at the highest dificulty, or just playing it for it being a damn good shooter. At $20 it's a pretty good deal where it took me 7 hours to complete a play through of all three acts on the middle dificutly and not finding all the secrets. If you are on the fence about getting the game I whole heartedly recommend the game and fully look forward to the developers next game Amid Evil to come out of early access.

Oh boy, this game is something else. I've only played it for 104 minutes as of writing, but I can tell this will be another rogue-like that I can easily sink several more hours into. The game mechanics are well laid out for you to get the hang of the basics right off the back, but has some slighter things it doesn't tell you about, such as using recoil to move around in the zero-g environment. As for weapons and equipment you start out each game with the same default loadout, and through each of the ships you can find random assortments of new weapons and consumables for you to use in your loadout. Through the 104 minutes of play I can't say I have gotten a repeated weapon or consumable drop which drives build variety, to a point.

The big learning curve about this game is that you have to purchase your equipment loadout everytime you start a level, and if you die you lose the money you spent on that loadout. This then comes to going into a level with a barebones loadout with the last of your money, hoping you can scrape by with the cheapest gear you can. This game is risk vs reward to a high degree, but even if you win a level you can still effectively lose money if your starting loadout for that level was extremely expensive. So plan appropriately, and if needed you can lower your health as a cost savings measure.

In short:
Good game, worth the $5 I spent, look forward to beating it and then playing an unreasonable amount.

The start of the Dark Souls series and the peak 2 and 3 never perfectly replicated. Dark Souls 1 is slow, methodical, clunky, challenging, rewarding, punishing, fair, everything and more you would want from a third person dark fantasy RPG. Getting lost in the world a the lore are the things that draw you in and keep you in Lordran. This game is hard, fantastically so, but is exceptionally fair, give it a solid try when on sale, or not, $20 is more than fair for this fantastic game. So have fun skeleton and remember to kill the dogs first.

A simple concept: Land on planet, kill things, get money, buy new things, kill bigger things, repeat. The game has a good amount of unlocks and can be quite challenging at times. While it does have multiplayer, setting up a serve can be a pain but even playing alone can be quite entertaining. Can definitely recommend.

If you a looking for a new Borderlands experience then go play BL2 with a different character/different skill set. What you find here is what can be considered a large expansion pack for BL2 disguised as a full game. Yet if you really want a new Borderlands experience with many changes to the mechanics and gun play then go play BL1. All you will find here is a disapointingly short game that makes little forward progress in the game series. If it is the story that intrigues you then watch a youtube play through and save your money for soemthing else.

This game is the definition of Moral Gray Area. Saying you like it makes you a bastard, saying you don't makes you an ass.

From what I have played so far, this game will destroy you in every way a video game can. Oh, did you want to go that way to talk to a dude? Pack of rabid dogs in your face that 6 hit kill you. Oh, you want to heal? Here is a clumsy inventory system that is not condusive to active fighting. Beyond this though it is a very rewarding game, you feel like you actually are getting bettter, but the game does challenge you at points to show you that you are in its world and subject to its rule. THE GAME IS HARD TO PLAY, but drags you back in (kinda like going back into a shady ally to get mugged multiple times simply because it was a preferable mugging to other muggings).

This game has its own set of issues, but are each fixable with little effort. Beyond one or two crippling flaws in the PC version this game is fantastic. It sets a nice atmosphere, largely though music and lore, but is an atmosphere that can be lost sometimes through NPC interaction. LIke any RGP you become attached to your character, you grow with them, you learn and live another life, and are sad when your 200 hours of gameplay comes to an end when everything possible has been done and you wish to do it all over again.
