I decided to wait until I finished the game before I wrote this review. I have never played turn based games, nor have I been interested in "dungeon and dragons". Most of my life I've played FPS games so this was a gamble, I decided to give to give this a go due to glowing reviews and looking for a new experience. I bought this when it was sale and looking back now I wouldn't have been disappointed paying full price.

Honestly would say this is one of the best games I have ever experienced. I haven't played much role playing games or similar types so my experience is limited, but it's definitely in my top 10.. Maybe top 5!

The game is not perfect (nothing is). There was a few bugs in the game, nothing ground breaking but noticeable at times. The story was solid, with some weak points. The graphics were pretty good, some parts to be desired. Gameplay was great. I've not played co-op/multiplayer, can't comment on that aspect. At times I felt maybe more could've been added to the arsenal.

Verdict for me is 9/10. I was close to putting 8.5, i'm sure there's some flaws certain people would scrutinise it for. However, for me with limited experience in this genre, it gave me a breath of fresh air. It's been a good while I've experienced a game that gave me this type of experience and a reminder on why games can be so great. With anticipation... Baldurs gate 4..!

Haven't played a lot of this game and there is good reason. At the start it seemed like a fun free to play game. I started to notice to unlock weapons it would cost a lot of in game money, which obviously can be bought with real money. I thought, ok not too bad because it was a free to play game, but it became apparant how much of an issue this was. First of all, your first class/soldier you are given starts with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rifle, and no secondary. If you want to get a the first pistol it will cost you 25,000 in game coins and thats for just a basic ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pistol, pathetic. Then onto war modes where you have tanks constantly shooting at you, and without giving them money or grinding for ages to get enough ingame money, you can't get grenades or any decent class to destroy these. So you are left to either just get killed constantly near spawn or try and travel around the outskirts of the map to get killed by tanks anyway, which can seamingly get you from multiple ranges. I just played a game just before writing this review; I was playing a game that is essentially domination, there was an enemy that managed to sneak all the way to the upper floor and the only way to get to the upper floor is via a ladder. When climbing the ladder, you can't shoot and you are helpless, so they just camp there and kill everyone who tries to get there - Unless you get the grenades! There is no windows at the upper floor so you cant shoot them that way, the only way is getting up the ladder and hope they are away from screen or if you purchase grenades or use in game money to kill them. You dont get given any grenades, you have to buy them with ingame money, which once you used them, you have to repurchase them. Also when they go to capture the flag, they can hide outside the actual flag site and capture it, whats the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point in that? Spawning is terrible also. Overall, a massive load of crap, I enjoyed the first couple of games but the issues started to show very quickly.
