Every year the grind gets more difficult and I just stopped grinding and played my favorite lineups every now and then, I used to spend a lot of time on the game, but now I won't even play more than an hour per session.

I've been mostly an f2p player since the very beginning, only bought the free abrams pack and 1 year of premium account through selling crafting event components on the gaijin store back during the crafting event. And even with a premium account, to gain meaningful progress for every game you play, you both had to perform very well in the game and win the match itself. After my premium account expired the grind was just unbearable.

The monetization scheme Gaijin is pushing us towards is eventually going to reach a point where if a player wants to progress they'll have to have both premium account and vehicles. and that scheme is only going to work and barely acceptable if only the premium vehicles themselves didn't cost as much a brand new triple A release + DLCs.

And as far as I'm concerned, gaijin has always gone back on their word, there are way more promises that are broken than the ones that are kept. and to be frank I don't see that stopping or changing anytime soon if there continues to be a loyal player base for gaijin.

Best advice to keep yourselves sane for veteran players is just to stop grinding and figure out a favorite lineup for whatever BR you enjoy. For new players, well good luck and hopefully you can get rid of this game before you get yourselves frustrated from playing a video game that's supposed to be enjoyable.
