We've all been waiting for the next real MMO. This might actually be it. I've had enough experiences that make me say, 'the people who made this game actually play games.' whole lot of little things that make the experience polished.
You can actually craft from your storage on day one.
Elite mobs have random perks that make the real fights actually different, even though trash mobs are identical.
It is grindy. But MMO's are grind, and this MMO is designed to be scalable and keep you coming back. Will it have the same longevity as WOW? That remains to be seen, but for now I'm thoroughly enjoying the ride.

Worth the hype, this early access is more polished than most AAA on release date. Way more content then I expected. Crafting is both balanced and progressive in a way that keeps you exploring the map through the different biomes, dungeons and boss fights while not feeling grindy. Hunger system is unique in a good way. Building snapping actually works. Physics engine is way too good for a small dev system (arrows effected by windspeed and direction, trees cause dmg while falling and can do enough dmg to knock down other trees while falling)
