Early Access Review
Okay, I've been looking at this game for a while now because the concept intrigued me. A monster hunter with some competitive elements thrown in so it's PvE along with a pretty interesting setting. However the game is really shallow from what I've picked up with my time playing it so far.
Enemies are pretty much brain dead and bosses can be cheesed if you know where to stand. The real danger comes from the lack of tutorial, weird control schemes, and primarily from the other players who have more gameplay time than you do. Graphical glitches and errors make it hard to pick out details in the environment and make the game look like a 2008 game when run on anything other than top settings. Coincidentally, running the game on higher settings to get the finer details causes the framerate to bog down so it's a lose-lose scenario.
What I would like to see is a co-op/single player campaign for new players to get their feet wet with the controls and maybe a co-op hunt. Give players multiple objectives to accomplish and amp up the enemy difficulty/numbers to give players something to do other than run around a map for 10 minutes only to get their throat ripped by a hellhound they didn't see or an enemy hunter who blasts the top of your skull off with a better rifle than you have. I got bored of the game in the ~2 hours i played of it and it seems like there's potential here, but I'm just not seeing it yet.
Could only recommend this to people who have someone to play with or on sale at a heavy discount with the current features. Otherwise skip it like Evolve.

I'm not sure if these remastered games were released to appease the fans of the Bioshock series or what, but this is a terrible way to do it. I made it through the first area without any crashes. However, the first time I arrived in Pauper's Drop I started crashing while in vendors, Power to the People stations, and finally when I went to save just in case the game crashed again. Please do not bother buying this game until 2K decides to put some work into this "remaster."

This game is just how I remember it from when I was a kid. Great old FPS mechanics, good music and audio for the majority of the game, and a solid classic LucasArts game. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys classic FPS.

I love this game. I really do, but it does have some issues with it that can be frustrating at times. Republic Commando was originally released back in 2005 alongside a Star Wars novel title "Hard Contact." The game has the Star Wars music and sound effects you would expect from a Star Wars game and recreates the weapons that the commandos use in the book and subsequent ones that followed. (The books are pretty good BTW and if you're itching for more of Delta squad I highly recommend you check them out.) However, the AI at times can be frustrating as well as some enemies/situations that you will die on multiple times before you manage to beat them. The game is also pretty short in my opinion and I wish we would have been able to see more of the Star Wars universe. Overall though I would give it a 7.5 out of 10 and I would by it at it's current cost.

By far one of the best story experiences I've had from a game. No THE BEST. If you want a great story with interesting and believeable characters look no further than this game.

I used to play this game back in junior high on our school's computer network with a bunch of my friends. The game is exactly like it was back then and runs great on current systems. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys old shooters.

People used to say this was a Minecraft clone. I completely disagree because this game, in my personal opinion, is better than Minecraft. More enemies, items, crafting recipes, and just content overall.
