A pretty fun game, but I got some issues.
I don't want to make any hard claims that hunters are objectively stronger than ghosts, but I feel comfortable saying that their gameplay is substantially easier and less punishing.
I think the main issue is that the hunter gameplay just feels too natural, especially for someone that regularly plays fps games. There isn't much of a learning curve to the hunters at all, while ghosts are an entirely unique experience to grasp. I think it would of been more fair, and more fun if the weapons were a bit more unconventional. There's definitely room for weapons that feel conventional, but I feel like the starting cannon should of been the best balance of comfy and power. I had a very easy time coming up with cheesy strategies to undermine the midnight phase as a hunter, but had a very hard time simply trying to get a feel for the ghost gameplay which overall felt like it offered underwhelming traits and abilities compared to the hunters. Pretty much everyone I played with shared the same sentiment.

overall I give it like a 3.5/5. it's not bad for the price, I think it's suitable as a party game to play with friends occasionally, That said, I think it can be quite frustrating. Perhaps more time is just needed to get the hang of ghost gameplay, but I feel like that of in itself is kind of a flaw. Either ghosts should be more conventional, or hunters should be more unconventional.

Warframe is a fantastic game. It has fast tight gameplay, visually pleasing graphics, interesting lore, and it's free. However being free, it comes with microtransactions. Overall, the game handles these much more reasonably than other free to play games. You aren't pestered with ads, and it is possible to obtain premium currency through trading, and The only thing you need to spend premium currency on that has any gameplay value is slots for your warframes, weapons, etc.

I however consider these slots very important, and a must have for anyone willing to stick with the game past mastery 5. Early on, most of the weapons you will be using are very much throwaway weapons which you will be replacing. By mastery 5 the game throws in a nice asortment of weapons many would consider worth keeping forever. This is what the landscape will look like for the rest of the game. every rank up will have more and more amazing, or ridiculous weapons. This especially becomes true when it comes to the warframes themselves.

As such, players unwilling to buy additional inventory slots will start having much less fun with the game, and maybe even find it frustrating due to difficulty scaling. Someone who is willing to spend money, or is lucky enough to have a seasoned friend buy them slots, and expand their inventory to accomodate for all the increasingly desirable equipment will truly have fun with this game.

Those who in addition, spend money on cosmetics will likely find even more enjoyment out of this game. Warframe has fantastic cosmetic customization if you're willing to pay for it. (Mainly warframe (character) customization. Aside from the model changing weapon skins, and a few weapon retexture skins, I think weapon skins are pretty meh.) Keep in mind that this aspect of the game while worthless on a pure gameplay level, is very addicting, and is a huge part of the community. Some might find it hard to resist buying into it.

Overall, I would recommend warframe for anyone that likes sci-fi shooters, but most importantly those who are willing to spend money on it. If you aren't considering, or wishing you could spend money by mastery 5, then maybe this game isn't for you.

Despite me saying "yes" read what I have to say

I have extremely mixed feeelings about the game. you can skip to the bottom of the wall of text for my short answer.

the idea itself is brilliant, obviously it's the same idea as the original, you are a night guard in the heart of a children's restarant/arcade, defending youself from a bunch of haunted animatronics. the idea still feels fresh (meaning it was a good move on scott's part to make the second game as soon as possible).

the controls seem really complicated at first, you are given many options from the start, however by the end of the first night, you pretty much will have mastered them.

however with that said the game does fall short in play time and replayability. so much so that it really makes me question the 8 dollar price tag. (almost 9 dollars for me because canada) I wasn't originally going to get the game, a friend was kind enough to buy it for me.

mathematically speaking, an ight is just under 7 minutes long, I will even be nice and round that up to 7 minutes and include the custom night. 7x7= 49. the base game technically is only 42 minutes long, including one round of custom night, (there are little plush dolls that you can unlock for completing custom night challenges, but generally speaking, they do nothing interesting, and are there for bragging rights) to me that isn't worth nearly 10 dollars.

a good 10 dollar game should be at least 3 hours long IMO.

my final verdict: the game had something simple, and brilliant going, but when you consider the price, it fell short, and could really use some more content.

I would only recomend this game to those that are truly interested in it, and are really sure they wan't to play the whole thing. and unless you are really dying to play it, I would wait until it goes on sale.
