Game needs a lot of work before it is even close to ready for release. At best it is extremely bare bones pre-alpha without any QOL/UX improvements at all. Controls are nice, game plays smooth. Navigating menus etc is clunky and awkward. Respawning at a checkpoint also respawns the entire dungeon. So if you get a checkpoint near mobs, good luck respawning without dying.

Maybe I come back and check on it in another 6 months. Maybe not.

Outstanding game. Should have charged more for it. Great price for such a great game.

Refreshing take on the BR formula. There are some issues with the game, but I have hope that the developers will fix these issues as soon as they can. The people at Sharkmob are very receptive to feedback from the community and are actively making improvements as they can.

The game has great graphics and outstanding audio. Even Dr. Disrespect would appreciate the audio quality. Runs very smooth and gameplay feels fluid and great. The parkour system is pretty awesome as well.

Absolutely a great game without doubt.

Can't recommend at all. This game has mechanics on top of mechanics. If you want to learn something in the game you are almost required to use 3rd party tools, YouTube, 16 different fan made sites to explain systems and mechanics etc. I have apps managing my apps in this game because there is so much required to just enjoy the game. Community is mostly toxic basement trolls.

Still going to play the game because what else is there at this point. At least you don't have to spend money on terrible systems.

Edit: No

Excellent game, tons of content that will keep you interested for a long time. I have barely scratched the surface of the endgame content and am very happy with it. Will be grabbing the DLC soon as well.

Worth it on sale for sure. Super quick paced action packed ninja with guns. Upgrade your grenade launcher to freeze enemies and deal cold damage, why not? Electric samurai sword? Yes please! Etc.

An outstanding game that is utterly gorgeous. One of the most intriguing stories and combat systems. I cannot recommend this game enough. Cannot wait for Horizon Forbidden West.

Feels like a mobile game without the insane amount of micro transactions. Not fully fleshed out. Not enough variety of mobs, gear, etc. Only able to Hotkey and use two learned skills/spells at a time. Tons of QOL features are none existent. No Borderless Windowed mode which is a must. Some minor "glitches" (none game breaking, just annoying.) After about an hour it begins to become extremely repetitive and grindy without any extra difficulty. Same levels, same mobs. Maybe come back in a while and try again. Maybe.

Grim Dawn is dark and gritty ARPG comparable to Diablo, Torchlight, and Path of Exile. Play your character how you want. You can combine classes and choose the skills you want from either. Making an insane amount of excellent combinations that are super fun to learn and play. Not to mention the large amount of replay value that comes from being able to mix and match classes for each of your different characters. It is very clear a lot of time, effort, and care went into creating this game.

Without a doubt one of the best games I have played in 2021. Probably in the past 5 years if I am honest.

This is what games should be.

Comparable to Diablo 2. Better than Diablo 3 without question. To me, it is better than Path of Exile. I really like Torchlight 1 & 2, but I think this is even better.

If you are looking for a title to have a great time playing, building your character how you want. Whether or not you want to play through once, or sink hundreds of hours into, this is it. Not even going to talk about the insane amount of community made mods that make the game even better (better in the additive sense, not that the mods are better than the vanilla game)

This game may be really cool someday.

It has some issues, graphically it does not look all too great. Audio is kind of wonky at times. Collision is rudimentary, animations are lacking.

Ignoring all of that, as it is just the Prologue, the game plays great. I love the idea, and it has some solid mechanics. I will buy it when it comes out, more than likely.
