This is the ultimate zombie apocalypse simulation game that i have ever found. Ever wanted to feel like you were in the world of the Walking Dead show? This game is it. First person melee and ranged combat, hundreds of different Points of Interest (POIs) to ransack for loot, explore huge randomly generated maps with 4 unique biomes to discover, hundreds of different items to craft, and terraform the world to build your perfect home/base/fort/castle with a large selection of different block shapes and materials to design it just the way you want to. If that isn't enough to hold your attention, the game has numerous different mods from small Quality of Life mods to mods that give added content like weapons, vehicles, zombies, and POIs, and a few full overhaul mods that fully change the direction and story within the game. There is plenty to keep you busy if killing zombies and looting a post apocalyptic world, and come on, haven't we all?

Addicting. Seriously, at first I remember having this game on my wishlist for a couple of month before I actually purchased it. Once I did, it has remained downloaded to my computer, and was the first download from steam onto my new laptop. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering the purchase of this game.

Came across this game on a YouTube countdown list and fell in love with the concept there. Am a sucker for Lovecraftian themes and scenarios. And that is captured wonderfully in this title. While hit points are still important, a player's biggest concern is the stress your adventures accrue. Have found myself many times with heart racing and pleading to the gamer gods that my unit doesn't go mad during a quest. Would definitely recomend this to anyone that is a fan of RPGs and gritty gothic horror.

This game is amazing. I purchased another exploration game (won't say any names) that fell horribly short of the expectation I had. A year later, I come across Starbound and all my expectations we fulfilled, by a game with 8 bit graphics. In my personal opinon, brings a more nostalgic feel to the game, which helps increase my enjoyment of it. This is a game I plan on putting many hours into.
