The most rewarding game Frictional has ever made. I've replayed this game at least a dozen times, not including the dead challenge runs. Currently trying out the hardest custom settings deathless. This game can be very unforgiving of mistakes, especially on the harder difficulties, but it's great fun. Resource management is always on your mind, quick decisions will be plenty, and even though it's a small map, it'll feel much longer with the stalker lurking around every corner. While it can be extremely difficult, I wouldn't say it's unfair, but you may run into a bad seed on subsequent playthroughs. If you're a horror fanatic, this is a must-play.

Plays very similar to the first game, so fans of DL1 will love this - parkour and combat greatly improved, the night is now made more prevalent, volatiles reserved for dark zones, both areas i've played so far are great for parkour, however the first can be buggy at times. Breathtaking visuals, characters are alive, voice acting top notch (and sometimes not so much but for the most part convincing), story so far is addicting and feels like the player has an impact with the introduction of more choices (I forget if DL1 had choices, I believe only a handful of times). Worth the price imo

Besides the bugs here and there and the few freezes/crashes that have occurred, this really is an outstanding game. The setting is fun to traverse, characters are breathing with life, and there's a good balance between stealth approaches and running-gunning tactics in combat. Lore is rich but it's not required to understand it to enjoy your experience. Imagine GTA, Fallout, Watchdogs, and Saints Row combined.

One of the best RPGs out there, even to today. Obsidian is OP
