Just wow this game seems to be going on for ever with so much to do. Its the same love for old school point and click adventures but with a modern twist to game play with various character rpg builds, choice selections on story and graphics. The game has the option of multiple play thoughs as choices in dialogue and character build opens up possibilities. The game has a interesting and complex skills tree along with its dialogue options and game play giving you choices in how you want to play. So much content here to discover and overall a pleasure to play. WIth the introduction of full voice over i would not imagine how this would have played without voice acting and would have been a heavy novel kind of game with reading. However even then it broke sales and did so well so the voice acting is a pleasure and a great addition from the devs for a game that came out a while ago.

Great old school point and click adventure game with a touch of investigation . The story is engaging with the tasks and puzzles to get you stomped. Taking you to multiple locations and characters to interact with this great game series is a must for point and click adventure fans. Complete others in the series and this one is coming to an end. Great purchase for a low price

Anyone that knows this game would have been a young boy or teenager back in the 90s

The start of point and click genre on the back end of monkey island and indiana jones games.
The writing and story of this game and all in the series are amazing. Beautiful hand drawn graphics with so many character and objects to interact with take you all around Europe in search or clues and answers

Buying the whole series as a bundle will give you hundreds of hours of game play that will dive in to many historic locations and tales bringing the broken sword series a ultimate collection for all adventure and point and click fans. At 46 years old i am replaying the whole series with almost completed the first taking me back to so many memories of my child hood. Originally played on the ps1 the mouse controllers are so much better and wondered how i played on a game pad but we knew nothing less back then but still did not deter players. Not sure how part 4 will play out as they moved from a point and click to a free movement based game but i will see, Overall a must have for fans old and new

This review is not based on the game as a completion but as of 4 hours in the game is amazing and had to review this. ANyone who has enjoyed watching zombie movies Z nation and the walking dead series ( although not related to the game ) will enjoy playing this game. Control over the character and interacting with the environment, objects and narrative all work well

CHoices matter where sided with various cast members or choosing a certain path although dont shape the story lines but alter the interaction with characters to present alternative paths,

The game is intense and shifts between cut scene and player controlled game player making this a series gamer. Its a great sit back and throw yourself in to the universe.

Each season offers multiple episodes ranging from 2 + hours to complete depending on play style but the game reading the reviews are long and collectively all seasons offer massive game time.

I love how like in apocalypse series they arrive to a location random survivors, bond do things and then move on to the next location, town or poi this is how the game works. The definitive collection has the advantage of improved graphics which in reviews say looks nicer. Also animations and lip sync is improved so thats a nice touch.

The game is a fresh approach to the zombie games and something different to take you away from the shooters and other player controlled games. I already knew an hour in what this game was going to give me and very happy with it so far. Feel like i have done a lot and havent even hit episode 2 in series 1 and the story has introduced me to so many characters and scenarios.

A must buy for zombie series watching fans and those who like story driven games.

Oh my god i just had to come back and re edit my review what a pile of crap this game is. I ended up building a £3500 pc everything latest parts cpu gpu psu case ram this game still runs like mud 60 fps sharp drops to 35 40. You cant tell me this game needs more power than every other game. The new pc is a beast and everygame is amazing ultra everything. Im on 64 gb 6000mhz ram dual ryzen9 7900x cpu runing at 5.7 7800xt 16gb sapphire pure gpu samsung pro ssds lots of the, M2 and Sata ssds.

This was my review but i have had to come back to say this game is going nowhere. The fps issues are huge and getting worse and more and more people are complaining and with each update more stuff if being thrown in to it without addressing the problem. I can see 6 updates down the line there will be so many issued it will be hard to find out where the problem lies. DO me a favour dont read the reviews go in to discussions to hear true words from people who actually play it and what they think

I wish there was a happy medium review or a thumbs up in the middle. The game has many good things but read the discussions from players who have invested in the game to see there are problems. Its a different kind of game with what you can do and there is lots but the devs are just throwing content in to it thinking thats whats important instead of stability and fixes. So problem is thrown over problem and last 2 updates as seen in many comments frames have suffered. Its a shame but i would hold back on this one till you start to ready positive reviews. I never buy a game without reading discussions cause we are the people who bough the game , playing it and experiencing it .

Zomboid is a great sit back kind of game. Keyboard and mouse controlled you guide your character through a rich apocalyptic scenario. The usual elements such as crafting, base building, controlling your characters health, stats and progression is all here. The isometric view is a welcoming gaming method reminding me of the 80s and 90s. The game is a make your own adventure with tonnes of stuff to explore and do and involves a intense and endless crafting system. With a strong modding community there is many options to make your game your own but lots of bugs when combining mods so choose the right mods. I personally use the tarkov style inventory and character load and also hire companions which is a great addition rather than going alone. The games does have some basic qualities like the sound and music so nothing too special there and the graphics although nice looking it isnt anything new gen. The game is still being developed and has been for many years and i think a new UI is needed and inventory and crafting system as its quite old and a bit of a mess.

The game is so so good. If you like turn base combat you will love it. The exploration mode is not turn base and you can just move around feely. I cant say anything bad about it. X com lovers this is what you have been waiting for without all the aliens and future feel. Dedicated to the 80s action hero films with characters and music. This game is a great sit sit back and take it all in. You have to plan your every move in and out of combat. The story and missions are plenty and the map navigation is brilliant. Where will you go, what do you need to take out. The squad organisation is really good. You can divide members in to alpha and bravo and so on and equipment so many type of weapons which can all be upgraded. If your like me you watched all the you tube videos the hype is real. Is your a jagged fan then you will love this. Its a glorified graphics update with some good mechanics compared to the others. For the money you will get entertainment

Great game very different from many survival games really pulls you in and so much content so soon.

I'm not going to say what the game is about you just have to dive in. What an adventure

War tales brings a beautiful genre and environment to the gaming world and although turn based games have slowly started to make a come back, this game is taken away from all the sci fi elements and modern warfare and throws you in to the medieval timescale. The graphics are not demanding but very well done. The worlds is amazing as you venture around taking in the beauty of the land and all the items in the game are well done to not push your hardware but enough to still make it pleasant to play

The sound design in the game again is not ground breaking but for a indie developer it is very much on par and does the game justice. A lovely soundtrack played in the background with various ques depending on the situation triggers the appropriate ambience for the scene. There is a sense of peace when walking around the countryside with the music to match the scene while combat brings different style of sound to match the action. All item sounds and dialogue ques are done reasonably well and just make the game what it is.

The game play is the nicest part of the game offering something quite new for the saturated genre of turn based games. Yes you build up a party which can consist up to 2 dozen men where you can develop in your own way from various soldier traits and skills and the RPG generated gear and weapons to make your play through unique. It’s a wonderful game to build this small army how you want consisting of archers, sword fighters to play your way through the game along with various buffs and de buffs using items, gear , weapons and skill upgrades. The progression system in knowledge and skills is done really well where you can open up so many perks passive and non passive to help you out not just in combat but general life as well. The game encourages you to expand each party member to special skill areas like black smith, cook and so much more trades to again open up so many possibilities for crafting and developing your party. You have the manage the troops wages and food rations along with setting up interval camps to rest and take time out to arrange inventory, skills and all sorts. This breaks ups the game from travelling and fighting and really gives you a sense of adventure . The development of camp facilities also generate many options for expansion on yoru soldiers and party so there is so many ways the game evolves and makes it unique. The combat is simple but with all the right elements as you would expect with a turn based game

The controls are quite simple and all customizable. There is only really a handful of major controls needed with a few minor controls to develop your custom play. Every menu, option and action can be assigned to a key or mouse button making the game fully customized.

The game has recently come out or early access to full release and in a very quick time. The development of the game has come a long way since first release. The games works on short story missions to help people and pick sides towards a overall land divide between rulers and occupants. The rpg element effects who you stand with but nothing too dramatic like many rpg games. You are free to be good or bad and decide what do to. The story opens up across a handful or rather large lands or regions each with there own environment, set up and people. The game will keep you interested as you discover new things and take on these missions but they are mostly based on small but lots of side missions. At this stage I am not sure if a major plot line kicks in as I am only in the first region right now but the game can easily be developed in so many ways.



The game is great. Something different to play away from the shooters and stereo typed games. The world is amazing and nice to play in a non monster alien environment with real weapons. I love the divide between combat, adventure, resting and development to make the play through different and spaced out. The game has come a long way since more than other early access games and I can see and tell the developers know they had and have something special here and pushing more.

A strong 38 dues to being a small development and done such wonderful things and so fast with a game that has hardly had any problems or bugs since the start. This not being your platinum AAA game with all the marketing doesn’t mean a score of 38 is low , its just the game as it is in style isn’t quite a major game but this figure will go up with content and development which I can see happening very quick
