What a game

I put this off for months on my wish list and wondered why did i wait so long. Maybe when it first came out i may not have liked it but 4 big update later i have caught it with so much happening

If you like skyrim, minecraft, zelda, Valheim then you will love this game as it has a bit of all and its own style

I have played 26 hours and i bought it 4 days ago so could not walk away. Turn the pc off go in to bed think about it and get back up. I could easily played more hours in 4 days but i have a business to run 2 young kids a wife and house to look after. The game is straight up amazing even at this stage and there is so much more to come.

The graphics are beautiful not epic but enough to bring you in to the world and there are some breathtaking views. Mechanics are perfect, i play on controller and you can see why its set up for this play mode. Progression is very deep which ever way you want to build and your typical D&D magic, warrior ,archer etc and mix of all

There is a massive base building element where you can build a main base and scattered sub basses around the map which is huge right now and not even got to 40% according to the devs.

I dont need to say how the game plays in what you can do as plenty of you tube vids do that. The game can be played casually or head on and the quest system evolves as you play along. Items are a very large variety in what you can craft and also ingredients and commodities. The weapons are a huge variety and further options to upgrade them and enhance them.

I have been pleasantly impressed by the game and got it so wrong when i see it before and hesitated to buy it. I have not seen my wife for the past 4 days and im a solid gamer with around 50 games on the go. This oen though just keeps pulling you back. You venture off with your gear on a quest, you set up camp at night with a fire and go through your gear and make it through the night the sun comes up and you proceed and i want to end the game there but in the distance you see an amazing structure or a tower and you just want to get there and see it. Its hard to turn off. You cant go wrong with a game that has more than it should in early access and a dev team so dedicated and know they have something amazing and it can only get better.

Watch some YOu tube vids and if its your style you will love it. There are a few quality of life hacks i would like to see and so far not one crash with 26 hrs

running 3400x 1400 on ultra graphics settings in game at 120 fps lows 144 highs Monitor is 144hz
The game does require quite a bit of ummmpf if you want to play settings pushed up. With the settings and spec above the GPU usages is 11GB v ram

30 hours in and this is what i feel

The game was purchased quite early on and it had its up and downs however as time as gone on its got better. The mechanics in movement is a little un smooth but its not as bad as other games.
The content in the game is good with resources to gather and craft blueprints to learn new skills with books and a good sizes skill tree . The base building is nice to work with offering many items to build decoration and structural.

The inventory items to gather are quite repetitive and will need more but everything is there to gather. The loot placement needs work, looting buildings doesnt offer much clothing from what i came across but cloth only. Also some places like looting petrol pumps offer food which is a bit weird but these can all be ironed out.

The zombie hits are a bit plane not much punch to it and animation needs to be worked on including zombie variation. Zombies dont seem to have loot on them which would be nice as these were survivors once so guns ammo med kits clothing maybe ( possible lower quality to fix)

the graphics are decent for unreal engine 5 but could do more work on textures, ground and structure textures are a bit low resolution when close up . All in all the game is progressing along well and a nice break away from other games.

Where do i begin
Edit had to come back this game is getting updated not with bug fixes but new content and QOL fixes as such a pace i cant keep up with playing it. No new saved games needed and i tell you no lie and you can go on steam update history this game is getting an update every 2 to 3 days . So much that every time i go on to play it something else is added and have to read up on it

I had this wishlisted for a long time debating should u buy.
As a massive fan of turn based games, wartales, xcom,jagged alliance series, wasteland series, phantom doctrine, divinity sins a few to mention I knew the type of game this was but still hesitant.

I already knew I wanted and was going to get it but it’s the constant updates that got me 2 updates a week and these updates are content and fixes and was filling up my news feat and I had to get it as I knew the devs were on it. These updates at this rate have been going on for months and looked really cool.

The game has a xcom feel where you have your base which involves upgrading, training your soldiers with skills, talents which is quite deep. The weapons available are a large selection with mods and attachments plus lots of other weapons and accessories.
The turn base combat is like any other you have skills assigns to various team members and each has a strength to get through the level. With a mixture of pre gen and designed levels it’s a fun game to play with combat. Achieving your missions and obtaining further data, info lore and gear to sell and use out of combat.
Outside combat beside the base building and team improvements you have contacts that you can develop and work with through selling and buying stuff to increase relationship which in turn grants you better gear with that contact and also help during missions in terms of favours . The main story is at a certain point right now with no further progression as its currently being developed but will be soon. There is plenty to do outside that and it’s a game you really have to think about what you want to, who you pick for your team with a countdown in days to further missions, recon missions and other conversations you will get so team management is also key.

The game is great and a nice side step from many other in the genre
I love turn based games and I like that I have genres to suit my mood. Cyber has no aliens and pure combat based with tech but when I want aliens and stuff I have x com , if I want total combat jungles etc I have jagged alliance and so forth.

This is def worth a buy and if its not your thing the refund policy is there but you can get up and running in 10 mins to give you time to see if the game is for you rather than some games which you put in an hour before you even understand the game.

Okay we have all seen the content pre release and day one and i held back for a few days to see what happens. Was a bit worried when the mostly negative reviews came in but then i dived in to many profiles who gave negatives.

The REVIEWS
Some of these profiles were locked and not public, many showed no FPS games in their library so have no idea about the style and others there last played games were goat simulator and train simulator. Hardly the kind of person i would listen to on a review. The remaining were tarkov crew and then there was some genuine negative reviews. SO the game

MY PC SPECS
Played 6 hours was worried about the performance but you can play with the settings
i run a i710700k with 48gb ram at 2666mhz playing at 1440 p with a amd sapphire pure 7800xt 16gb card. All grahics are at high and a couple on ultra
In the bas i get 85fps on the chopper around the same sometimes 50 in combat and around the map 100fps stable. So to me thats cool considering there will be fixes.

The GAME
The game is awesome i mean something different being at base calling in a chopper to take you where you want all with no cuts is immersive. The world is amazing with the graphics ambience sound and visuals. I really wanted a jungle Vietnam game

For being early access there really is quite a bit here and although performance takes a hit for me i didnt see anythink really played with some settings in radeon and in game and did not have to compromise quality.

The other players are great when in your faction everyone is chilled and willing to help even on your quests then you can help them/ The weapons, gear and UI are nicely done and can only improve as more stuff comes. the missions are usual grab bring plant but thats okay as the game is immersive and really gets you in the fight. Easy interface to add friends to see if there online and form squads. Ai is okay will get better but they pinned me down a few times with no ammo left . They do chase and find cover but would like to see more flanking and see them move out of pois more. When i think vietnam genre its the patrols in the jungles and being ambushed even when you think you wont be.

There are a few things as people mentioned ADS is not toggle when firing i use it in some games but for this i dont mind but all keys should be bind able many just chat and map and close menu .

The game is worth getting as they have something good here and now i played it i realised that waiting them 5 days was long. I have jumped in to pvp so its only when you get closer to other factions mission and play areas that it kicks off but nice when you are squad mates. Pve is chilled you can play solo and bump in others in faction and its friendly. I would like to see more loot spawn and variations , only came across a couple dead with grenades and would like to see more in the pool for collecting and scavenging. Other than that the devs know they have something special here and the player base is there and will grow. This game will becomes great and so good to see its birth and watch it grow. If you have a spare 30 go get it . Inventory can grow quite fast but you can get rewards with progression and also upgrade your game once you like it.

If you have been holding back like me get it the thrill of going back out on the ai helicopter really makes me think im in platoon or something. Id like to see the m16 rifle to fit the genre and also the ai should be more of the same Vietnamese or local looks rather than mercenaries in jeans most of the ai soldiers have the same gear so would be nice to see a variation but as you progress to harder areas things start to change and get harder and more gear.

Overall id say early access 7 our of 10 but growth will take this much further. If anyone has any question please feel free to ask im as honest as i can be

and many other games in the similar genre as well as other different games so makes it easier to see where this game is and can go.

I playted project zomboid and although its full of stuff to do and got a big rep form being one of the first in this style i just cant really get around the old school graphics which really remind me of the old commodore and early amiga games. graphics should not deter people when the game play is so good which PZ is but for me thats one of the things. The other i didnt like was the ui and really steep health and skill system. Weclome Himanitz A slimmed out version of the game with nice graphics and similar game play without the grind. There is lots to craft and build as you engage in a rather large map fill of stuff to explore and see. It does not have a complex health and management system but it is very early doors only a few months old so it will grow , but i think it has kick started in a better way Project zomboid did when it came out and that is over 10 years in Access still. Humanit z is constantly being updated and you can see the passion to fill this void in this genre. Im a big fan of zombie games playing scum, resident evil, dying light but its nice to not be in first person and approach games like this top down in a sit back and relax nature. The UI is nice to work with and there is plenty of content added in on a regular with a nice roadmap for the future

Great little side story to fill in the blank in the life is strange universe. BEst is its free. It has a nice little story which can be maybe a bit dramatic and engaging for people who have had a similar life or issues please read the games description and effects . 3 hours game play to go through if you are working your way through the life is strange collection but read the play order which comes first. Its not required but the story and overlap is there in some games

A mobile content game this is a nice side purchase for anyone interested in detective solving games. Similar to the films the missing and others in the footage found genre you find a mobile phone and everything is done from the device as you comb through the device to gather information on whos phone it is and what happened to them. With clever writing and branches for finding out whats going on its a little gem to play when you dont want to engage in the constant fps shooters . Its a sit back kind of game with a note pad to take clues. I would say its best on a sale price but should be a low price on normal. The game has 3 games in the series with the 3rd one not doing as well but reviews will establish if its your type of game

Mad max is a nice game with a great world and lore to dive in to its a shooter rpg with lots of driving involved and something to dive in to to get away from the generic games we always play. My problem is i have so many games on the go and only go back to games when i feel like it and this has been one of them. Its a large game with a large map with the usual out post take overs and plenty of loot to collect to put towards your car, settlements you befriend and also character. The game does have a bit of a game loop in terms of travelling to many locations to unlock and tasks to do but its nice to be able to upgrade everything and meeting new characters. This is the kind of game to watch you tube reviews multiple reviews to see if its your kind of game. Mad max fans will enjoy it as its universe is true to its genre. Overall a good game and if at a great price or sale could be interesting to play on the side. Graphics are pretty good considering the age but it still hold its ground. Satisfying feeling going out on the road with your upgraded car and ramming enemies and launching projectile attacks on enemies and cars.

Very interesting game and nothing i have seen before in this kind of genre. As a fan of detective games this game throws so much at you and working out the clues is all based on deduction. The games offers half a dozen cases some more complex than others ranging from an hour to 3 hours per case depending on how you play through. The graphics and ui are great using real life photos and locations to go through your crime scenes and evidence with a lovely ui and menu options to navigate around. Altogether bringing a new style of detective game to engage . Look forward to more like this from the devs

Point and click game like the old school ones taking you to various locations and meeting various characters to work out clues and puzzles to various mysteries. The game has the old vibe graphics monkey island style although a directors cut has been released but not sure how much has changed. Fully voiced and a great story this game is a bargain at a low price
