Okay so here is my review after 17hrs. This is normally the period that i feel i have seen and done enough to say something about the game.

updated 387 hours in to the game with all updates the game is breaking more and more. WHen you go in to discussions and bugs you see all the latest threads with problems on the back end of updates. For the past 3 months the saved keybinds are not saving so if you like to change the key config forget this game right now every time you die and load the game you have to change it all back

To the review.

The graphics on the game is genuinely nice considering this is not a AAA game with unlimited finances. The setting is immersive with a mixture of terrain including snow, forest, open land, and dense buildings. It’s a great map to run around with and lots to investigate and in time I can see the development of the game progressing nicely

The game play is very complexed with a great crafting and inventory system. There is so much to collect, break down and use with items forming mulitple uses and stripped down many times so you have to think about what you want to do with them and which ones to keep. There is always something new to find and gets you thinking how you want to character build. The movement is great and smooth with 1st and 3rd person view which you will switch between depending on the situation. The button configs are fully customizable and I use a mmo 12 button mouse and foot pedals for action and only a couple keys mapped for movement on the keyboard.
You move around the map searching locations with many crafting options from hardware to loot, You have a large base building tool to create whatever you need from locks on doors to traps and much more. You have a single player server which you to custom build what you would like and then also public and private servers with different types of game modes. The map stays the same no matter what your playing on but its very big with possible future development and expansion.
With the next biggest update things like outposts with no fire zones will be introduced with trader shops for gear, a saloon possibly for interactive meeting space with players to get together take a breather and possibly team up. Think of hunger games as a concept

The controls are mouse and keyboard only and extremely easy to use and set up. There is not lots of keys needed and you can set up only the ones you need.

There is no story mode or missions other than the tutorial but there is missions area in the menu so this could be something that will follow soon. The idea is you’re a prison survivor thrown on the island with other prisoners and the island is infested with previous occupants who are zombies ( puppets. There are a few types of puppets to keep you on your toes how to handle. The game can be played solo but teaming up with a squad is the best way which then you can go on missions ,looting and base building. With transport, crating and your imagination the limits the game offers hours of fun alone of with others.

The game is based on pvp and pve but I have only encountered good people with some coming to my rescue when outnumber only to be asked If I wanted to follow and buddy up , or go separate ways. If you are a early player and don’t have much gear on you the pvp aspect will not really mean much to others unless they just want to kill you. You earn fame points in the game for things you do with go towards your skill levels and determine the spawn location. Overall, the game is great and the development of the game is approaching a critical and peak with 0.7 upgrade in the works and due in the coming weeks. This update promises to be the biggest since released with so much more. Planes and parachutes, currency in game to trade and spend out outposts trader, additional vehicles and much more. Also planned is hostile and friendly npcs to populate the island.

Overall solid 7/10 due to the development and what is coming soon. The dev team has double since release and although in early access the game feels solid compared to other early access. There some issues but non to ruin the game. These will all be addressed by the devs with some great content coming. The game will increase in price upon 1.0 release so its not a bad investment to jump on now or when its on sale.

With Dayz and rust out there this game has the best character management, inventory and health system which is something you need to check out. The graphics are better then the others and with the development side there is lots to come compared to the others and this has not been released fully yet but already loaded. Although the full health system is not needed to be controlled other than the basics its nice to chill out somewhere and just run through your body and gear while you are snuggled up in your base or building with the sounds of puppets in the wild. Def check out as many you tube vids as possible in to each game play to see if its right for you.

Been looking for something a bit different and kept passing on this game. However i had 25 pounds in my steam account and already 40 games on the go between pc and consoles so i thought why not. Having seen the good and bad in you tube reviews its a game style i dont have and like to bounce from game to game for mood.

Graphics. The game considering is not made by a major dev backed by money and hundreds of staff the game does look really nice.

Genre. The cowboy and Indian genre is always intriguing and love the weapons in this era, Setting is great. I would have like to see more larger towns with saloons etc but then my mind is always on RED dead which you cant expect anything the same quality in this game compared.

Mechanics. Okay so this is what got me in reviews lots of mentions with mechanics. Although movement on foot is okay its being on the horse when you spring that it goes a bit off. We cant expect smooth silky like the AAA games but overall its okay.

Crafting and loot. Tons of it everywhere you go lots of loot like man looting games. Each item has multiple uses for crafting and crafting is intense. There is a lot of crafting you can do and each times can be crafted further to do more. You can select what you want to craft and search the materials and while playing they highlight which is good.

Management. The game is hugely dependent on management of men and camps which you can arm and set up tasks to collect certain materials or craft certain weapons and tools or food ect. you can divide everything throughout your camp wherever you are. As well as setting patrol routes for your men, you can ask your men to loot places for you, and other tasks and set up hunt parties and have how ever many warriors in your group, arm them how you want and individually assign what you want them to do or set up fire groups. The game overall could get overwhelming down the line with the large map and take over but with the automated options things are easier.

Conclusion
The game is a nice sit back and just enjoy with a bit of combat, management, take over and just general expansion. You can fish and relax or go in to war parties, set up gangs and just attack forts and bases. The game is not the worse but not the best and its a hard learning curve. When starting some bits were putting me off and wondering if i made a mistake buying but 12 hours in i am enjoying the management and working out how to get my land back strategically. Skill tree is great to work for. Getting it on sale would be better but it is a good game

I would strongly watch as many you tube videos to see exactly the elements of the game if its up to you. If you in to base building , management of multiple bases, warriors and materials crafting but with a great automated system to help. You love the western theme then this is great for you.

Im a controller user and its a partial controller game works well in game but when it comes to crafting and menu and management the mouse has to be used. You can assign your own key bindings as well

Okay so here is my review after 25 hrs. This is normally the time frame that i feel i have seen and done enough to say something about the game. Although the game length says 50 hrs plus i am already on 25 hours and only gone up 3 times in generation and 1 evolution

To the review.

The graphics in the game really are lovely. They are not amazing like major AAA publishers but the game has so many wonderful aspects that it all completes it. Dont get me wrong the scenary is beautiful and its all done so well but after all it is only jungle, rocks and so on but a beautiful landscape to explore.

This is where it gets interesting. The devs have taken a survival game which has been very popular in the past few years and flipped it.
Its nice to not have a narrative or text to read
the HUD display is unique rather than bars and all sorts
Playing this period of time is beautiful so think we once was from this background
Everything about the way the game works is amazing and new.

With pc the elite always push and prefer mouse and keyboard but we also want to use pc for the raw power and improved graphics. Game pad is a must for this game and works well in my eyes. Sure like many 3rd person games sometimes you get in to a tight spot and the mechanics shuffle and you need a couple moves like turning around on a branch of a tree or to pick something up, but its not game changing at all so dont read the comments, its mostly those who want to use a mouse and its a no go.
Button config is perfect in my eyes with everything at reach and easy to follow with on screen help if you have hud on.

There is no story as such and no really missions like many open world games. There are tasks and stuff to unlock and activate to proceed up the evolution but the game is set out beautifully along with the skill tree and evolution time line.
When i played this game it was a struggle but thats what its about.... evolution, the beginning so cleverly we tech monsters cant seem to work things out or impatient. It so lovely to pick something up and bash it, or combine it to work out what it does or makes it really feels like your leaning and become part of the game. Its a lovely genre to be part of and you get very connected with your characters. As babies with unique names they grow in to adults and then how sad to see them as elders only to eventually die and new family comes in. Its a special moment and along with the fundamental elements of evolution, it really makes you think. II spent so long and not gone really far at all just by enjoying the game what it offers only scratched the surface.

I put the game off for months and while on sale i thought why not. Would u buy at full price, i think i would looking at how little i have done and time spend on it. Its a game that will be around for a while when i feel like the mood for it. It is emotional and nice to get away from all the shooters and other style of games out there

Okay as a gamer since the early 80s i have like many my generation seen it all. Like my parents go to see the turn of colour tv and vhs tape we see the growth or computers with single digit MB ram to where it is today and we always wonder what comes next. As a huge library of genres in my steam library and off line i can say this game is amazing. I have really got in to the choice cinematic kind of gaming as most other games you are hunched over a desk with a mouse and keyboard or shooting something. Its nice to lounge back and actually watch something while playing and taking it all in. LIke many games played until dawn, Heavy rain, life is strange and much more which i had the pleasure to complete Detroit is right up there. Playing 3 characters across the game brings fresh approach to each chapter with its own characters , sub plots and story. The graphics are amazing along with the sound, writing and narrative. When you look at the clever timeline to see the different paths it becomes overwhelming how many options you can choose or different paths which if you wanted to see there is great value in a replay to choose other ways but a lot would have to be remembered as there is so much to do. Connor is my favourite as being a detective with the mechanics and everything about this game is my fav and i will look out for any games like that. THe game although brilliant in my eyes cant score above a 8 out of 10 as its a genre and type of game that you either have to be in to and appreciate what it is but it has no long term grasp for a high score , like a witcher 3 or skyrim where you get your monies worth 100 times over Great game though def buy especially if its in a sale which i got

Okay so i bought the game when it was in early access quite a while ago and fell in love with it. It is quite pricey for a game in early access but it seems the devs have got noticed with this title so its inevitable for the game to get a 1.0 release and updates in the future.The game is a great escape and even though through early access i didnt progress to far with the story as i knew once released a fresh start would be required. Now as a full release it has so many nice touches, I now have a small village with staff and building management which makes things so exciting and new. You can venture off and do your own thing but its great you manage your village. Working out how to set up your village with market areas to sell your products which so much to build and produce gives you so many options how to play. I recently got married and expecting my first child which is the main aim of the game to have a family and heir which you will continue as the game goes on.. The graphics are great and the game is a mixture of skyrim ( not literally but the settings and feel cross with a build rpg simulation. The game has plenty of you tube tutorials to get a feel for the game but this is something i jump in to when i want to get away and have a break from the guns blazing games . If you see the videos online and its your type of game its worth getting. Story mode has various missions main and side but its building your village that makes the game more interesting to grow id give it a strong 7 out of 10 for its originality

its a great game and after many attempts in this genre this has done very well and its still early access. Of course there is a few issues graphically and mechanics but im sure its nothing the dev will let pass with good feedback so far. You can see plenty of options for growth for the game with some stuff mentioned in the roadmap but also in general for this genre what great things can come of it. Its a cool game to step away from the AAA games of story when you just want to roam around and just take time out, There is a level or realism in the game with what you have to. In some areas it does get repetitive in what has to be done but its pleasantly divided amongst other activities. As an early access game the foundation is there and can only be let down by future development which im sure will not happen as its on the way to being a good game.

There are quite a few things that are going to need a lot of work and i will add them to this as i play each time.

When you are on a call and got the emergency lights on the AI runs across the road which is not what you do and automatically have to start your day again and lose all your work before.

AI cars do not move out of the way when in emergency

oh my god terrible its so bad that i ended up spending 40 and get the real deal cooking simulator cakes and cooking. plate is broken cant fix it, you press pause doesnt work press menu that doesnt work just frozen. It was for my 5 year old so we left it for 4 months loaded it again and same place same problems. Even at a pound sometimes things are not worth it if the game is not worth the pound the hassle and stress is not worth the pound either .

I will not start my review about this game on a negative as it is such a great game. It has given me alot of what i was looking for and up to this time i have hardly cracked the surface as i am taking it all in and my time for the time i have invested. For those who want to know im 35k credits better off, level 12 street , 6 on player level, 4 main missions done, 4 side and a dozen gigs and random quests . The rest just munching and walking, driving, getting to know the place and taking it all in. For me this game has its flaws but nothing that cant be handles. Its a breath of fresh air to gamers who love this genre and style or just wanting to experience the future in a RPG virtual world. It could be a harsh covid year and we wanted something good to happen and why so many are and have been so excited for this . Either way it was released . What ever downsides the games has and it does have them , its nothing that a game developer like CD project cant address , we all know what happened with witcher 3 when it came out , ended up being a great game but they took time and patience. Im thankful that i got to experience this game and look foward to whats to come. It has a lot of features that appeal to me, but the story, graphics game play, sound especially just ticks many boxes. My sympathy goes out to all the gamers out there who are less fortunate to experience this beauty be it funds or technical requirements but negativity is never a good thing if you are looking down from above. Advice and guidance is always a nicer solution to help someone out who only wants to be a part of something special. The game is awesome, With a little TLC it will be amazing. For all you who liked The witcher obviously, DEux Ex, hitman and grand theft. This game will appeal to you in style and mechanics. For anyone who just want to get away from their current life and jump in to a world as a avatar Ready player one style then this is something for you. Welcome to RPG gaming, the only way to play games. Be safe everyone

great game and an intro to something bigger i hope. It is about an hour of play but slowly introduces you to sarah the granddaughter and her grandfather howard who goes on adventures and hides a big secret. Find and search with a few puzzles this has promise and reminds me of the point and click adventures games but in first person. Best of luck developer i will be looking out for this one def. It is very short but this is only the prelude for something big hopefully and also free so nothing to lose.

I am a big fan of adventure games since the early 90s.Any game that uses your mind to work things out be it in graphical and text or animated. This is the first time i played a game like this and after playing i did look at other games with demo but decided to come back to this one and go full purchase. The game is great to put on in the evening when all is quite, have your glass of malibu and coke and try crack the cases. The game is a mixture of detective cyber hunt using all the tools available to track, trace and gather evidence to complete the chapters. WIth the use of social media in all our lives this is glimpse of what can be found online and how scary things can be online but its a great version in a game. Once of the only things i can say is if you have seen the film searching and you liked it then you have to play this game ( cant help thinking about the similarities in the way you search for stuff and also the title music very similar, but this is a good thing as i loved the film ( a must see ) and this game puts me in that mode and a great buy. I can see this going further and further with the introduction of more cases never ending. The play time is very good and cases are quite diverse and expanding. THere is a great urgency to complete the cases and with each development there is a twist . Detective cyber hacker all in one. Its presented in a lovely way with with great touched to the social media sites online with a great internet browse search engine along with other tools to play the game. Looking through transcripts and reports with what ever you find to gather the clues and come to a conclusion really keeps you on your toes. You can not go wrong for the price and if your worried play the demo like i did once you get to as far as you can with the demo you will want more and end up purchasing the full game. ( as developer says remember the saved game in the demo will not work with the full game) So if you get the idea of the game quite early on buy it and start a new game. I played to the end of the demo and loved it so much and wanted more that i sacrificed to play all the up to that point again and completed the first chapter. My play time on the chapter was 58 out of 58 information gathered with a play time of around an hour each evening spanning over a few days with some extra play time in between as i wanted to see what happens next. Play the demo like what you see in the first 15 mins then go straight to the purchase
