Early Access-recension
There are already plenty of reviews out there talking about the game itself. Some would argue for a review that is all that matters. However for an Early Access title that has been in development for who knows how long, the developers are also on equal grounds to be judged. Perhaps things will get better in time, but as of right now Zero Point Software is not a developer I will support any longer. The way they have treated this community lately has been nothing but disgraceful and disrespectful. The video they released is thankfully being taken down, but that will never fix any issues regarding their treatment of the community. Here is a link to a thread from Reddit, which explains everything. I will also link the third thread regarding the subject that was created by me, since the other two threads were locked.

ZPS's treatment of the community has been nothing but locking threads, making constant threats, permantley banning users, and not even hinting that they are taking anything I or any other member have put forward regarding not only the video but the treatment of their paying customers. They clearly don't care about feedback, and they clearly don't have the foresight or basic common sense to think about their actions before they make them. I tried to be as civil and respectful as possible, and they have yet to answer the points and reasoning I put forth explaining why members were upset, and why the video was not a good idea to begin with. I will never get a response, and it is also clear they could care less. Until this developer proves it can be mature and understanding, you should not entrust them with completing a game such as this. The image for Interstellar Marines was a beautiful one, and after all these years they have barely anything to show for it, aside from their harrassment of customers who bought their game out of support and trust. They have lost my support and have broken everyone's trust. Maybe when they begin to take some responsibility for their actions there could be hope, but I am doubtful and will no longer try to provide feedback. They had their chance to prove themselves apart from the usual EA dev. They failed not only themselves, but their community. As such I can not recommend the game for the shape it's currently in, or the prospect that it will ever be what it could have been.

Buggier than Day Z. 10/10 would bug again.

Real talk though: This game is incredible, well worth the $10.

The question that was presented with this game was how in the world you could compete with KOTOR's story, it's characters, and it's world, for a sequel? How on Earth could you take the pinnacle of RPGs and create another story to meet with those expectations? The answer is simple: You can't, and you don't try. Instead, you look for a different type of story to be told, one that is not only vastly different from the original game, but is a different tale within the Star Wars universe as a whole. The Sith Lords rips apart the seemingly simple battle between Light vs Dark, and casts a dark shadow upon all the principles behind the universe, and then constantly scolds you for taking actions of the light and dark. There are grey areas everywhere you go in this game, but it is not just in the usual style of morality, in which you try to find the 'right' answer, as that is fairly clear to see. What it asks you is whether or not the right answer is one that truly helps those around you, or if you weaken them by taking on their problems. TSL's story is much smaller and more sinister in comparision to KOTOR, but it manages to have even more depth and complexity thanks to the brilliant writing of key characters, at the top being the enigmatic Kreia. This old woman is the core of what makes the theme work in the game, as she constantly sits at that grey area that previously didn't exist in Star Wars. Story is the core of what makes this a worthy entry into the Star Wars lore, but it is also backed up by deeper gameplay. Crafting is much more involving and complex than KOTOR, especially when it comes to lightsaber construction. And the wait for your lightsaber makes it feel so much more satisfying, as it is something you have put time and effort into building. Never before in a Star Wars game has my lightsaber felt like a part of my character as it does here. Originally, this game's only downfall was that it remained largely unifinished and as a result was very buggy. But thanks to the huge update that is no longer an issue, as you can install the Restored Content Mod on the workshop that fixes nearly all the issues of the game. There is a bug with grass not working with certain graphics cards, but I shall give a link to a fix for it. Overall, the game is a masterpeice in many similiar and different areas than it's predecessor, but still, a work of art when it comes to RPGs. The more personal story, the darker atmosphere, more complex gameplay mechanics, and it's almost satirical view on everything that makes up Star Wars ensures this game it's rightful place as a worthy successor to Knights Of The Old Repulic.

Within several minutes of spawning, I was shot at by a person with a desert eagle. He brought me down to 19% health before he ran out of bullets, at which point he charged me with his Katana. I got one hit in with my fire axe which caused him to start bleeding. I then bolted down to a nearby farmhouse, where another hostile player tried to kill me. I took him down as well, my hands shaking from the amount of blood I lost. Convinced I was safe, I traveled along the road to a nearby town. On the way I found a car, and luckily I had a fueled gas can to get it running. I took the car into town by the docks, only to have it blown up by planted explosives. Gunshots whizzed past me as I sprinted to a pile of dropped gear from a fellow player who was killed by these bandits. Among the equipment I took was an Ak 47, with five shots. An enemy bandit moved into the house in front of me, searching for me. I put three rounds out of the five into but he didn't go down. Circling the building quickly allowed me to jump in the window, scarring him up the stairs. I stood there, fire axe at the ready, as I waited for him to come up the stairs. He instead jumped out the upstairs window and ran. I found more gear in the house, then took to the coast to escape the sounds of explosions and gunfire. My nerves have never been so shot. Overall, this game is great for Day Z fans who don't mind the voxel graphics of Minecraft. There are problems present however, such as the lack of dedicated servers. Being disconected from servers multiple times, being forced to find another server on the forums, then joining only to be immediatley killed where you would have been safe in the last server is very frustrating. And like Day Z, there are a HUGE amount of players who just hunt down fellow human survivors. There is however a Hero system as well, similiar to Day Z. Just a tip, if you see anyone with yellow names, kill them on sight or run. These are bandits. Overall, a very solid and fun survival game from a 16 year old indie dev. Just go into the game expecting to die a lot until you get the hang of it.

War Thunder's latest update has now made it the absolute worst Free 2 Play game I've ever had the unholy pleasure of laying my eyes on. What once was a fun and exciting plane combat game is now an ultra slow and tedious grind full of unrealistic instant kills and planes that feel like they are made of paper. Combat is frustrating and deaths are outrageously unjust. Ground attack now has the inclusion of bases, which you must defend and attack. However, the scoring system is completley broken! There is no logic whatsoever to how this now horrid mode even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Battles last around 2 or 3 minutes now, a vast change from what used to be good 10 or 15 minute fights at the least. And then to top it all off, you must research planes before you buy them. Yes, there is actually more grinding!!!! You must grind for points in order to grind for money to get ONE PLANE!! These systems are attrocious and absolutley the cheapest and most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up currency system I have ever seen! Whatever you do, avoid this game like the plauge. There is no more hope for War Thunder, it has fallen into the same hole every other F2P Beta game has, and once a game reaches that point there is no going back.
