This title really is one of the best chaotic co-op games I have ever played. Arrowhead really hit the mark overall.

Yes, there have been some missteps (looking at you PSN) and the heavy handed nerfs early on were poorly planned.

That being said, I love it. It's the perfect evolution from the top-down playstyle of HD1 to the 3rd person HD2.

Now do that with Magicka.

I will freely admit that I have barely any time in game so far, but hear me out.

Wild Magic Sorc, managed to kill my whole team, twice, during the tutorial.

Cast Magic Missile - get bonus Blinding Fog
Cast Magic Missile - get bonus enemy Mud Melphit (that summoned a second Mud Melphit)

Both times I died horribly.

12/10 will Wild Magic again

Riftbreaker is a solid game, with a decent gameplay loop and some replayability. They story itself is not bad, and the visuals are very good. There are some bugs, but for the most part they do not appear to be game breaking at all. Biggest bug I've come across is it seems like the cloudsave is fully functional but occasionally corrupts an autosave. All told I'd give it an 8 or 9 out of ten. Well worth the money.

PROS
-Excellent Visuals
-Multiple Biomes
-Lots of enemies
-decent tech tree
-Weapon mods
-Survival Mode

CONS
-Can be hard on your PC (better have a solid processor)
-DX12 support is somewhat sketchy
-Large enemy variety, but mostly reused models. (This isn't really a con for me personally, but can be fore some players)

This game is one of those gems that is both hugely (overwhelmingly?) complex while at the same time allowing the player such a huge amount of freedom to create, screw up, destroy, then rebuild just about *any* kind of space/air/ground craft you want.

The general scale of bases and ships is close to limitless, with said limit being a players ability to create a solution to a problem.

PROS
Lots of options in the base game
Programmable blocks to do stuff
You can make a 3d ship printer
Huge modding community
DLC is mostly cosmetic

Cons
CPU heavy (to be expected, not really a con but be aware with large constructs)
Overly Complex
Modding is almost required to make the game 100% playable
DLC is mostly cosmetic

OVERALL
Great game, worth the money

[couple hundred hours on PS4]

Let me tell you a story about a video game.

This game received an insane amount of hype. Insane trailers and clips, beautiful graphics and a huge world to play in.

It looked *so good* that some people actually bought PS4 and the like just to play this game.

The game released and tanked due to being effectively incomplete and pretty buggy. It was so bad you could find the disc at Walmart 4 months after the release for $20 instead of the original $60.

Most of the time this absolutely ruins a game, and sometimes the studio, particularly when it's a small studio. If it doesn't ruin the studio, the game might get a couple of patches then abandoned, which sucks.

Sometimes you get a studio that tries to do the right thing. They work on it, fix bugs, add content, clean up and make it a real game. This is a slow and often frustrating experience (looking at you Fallout 76) that does little but placate the existing player base.

Very Very rarely you get a studio that goes back into the shop, spends countless hours and money to actually fix the game.

And once in a very very long time, that same studio follows up on their broken promise of a title who not only fixes the game, but then adds YEARS of extra unpaid expansions and features as a thank you to their fans.

Folks - that game is No Man's Sky and it is 100% worth the wait.

Thanks a lot Sean

It's pretty much Rimworld in space, what's not to love?

This what Diablo always wanted to be

10 classes to mix and match
100s of skills
Lots of equipment
Huge passive tree

Only downside, maps are not randomly generated

I grew up on the twin stick bullet hell games like this, and I gotta say this one really lives up to the genre.

Broad array of ships
Plenty of weapons
many, many mods for both
mod combos
clean visuals

The only thing I can say that *might* be considered negative is that it's early access. This time it's not an issue as the devs are super responsive and engaged with the community via discord.

TL;DR Game is great, good people, you should play it.

10/10 will get killed again.
