Age of empires has been, since it's inception, a strongly balanced real time strategy game. Every game has a familiar flow, but the many differences in maps and civilizations make for a fascinating narrative. If you like strategy, and you somehow HAVEN'T played this game, give it a chance.

Pick ONE civilization (I recommend Franks), follow the fast-castle instructions, then learns as you go. I promise you a unique challenge, but I do not promise you glory. That you will need to earn for yourself.

Endless Legend is a beautiful civ-builder with a lot of depth. Want to feel like the burgeoning ruler of a towering empire: buy this game.

Charming art brings an innovative gameplay mechanic to life. The card-game is simple, but has a lot of depth. You get a chance to explore the depth and really explore all aspects of the game, and when you've tried everything, the game wraps up neatly. It's not long, but it's not expensive either.

Nice music, no bugs, runs smoothly on my age-old macbook, plot is fun and short, really solid game for ~7 hours of gameplay.
