Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of those games where you can fully immerse yourself within it's environment and society. The world (called Cyrodiil) has multiple regions of landscape, all giving you a taste of wildlife and roleplaying elements, like old, swampy caves or a great fort in the uplands of Colovia. Everywhere you go you can interact with the environment, from plants and mushrooms to animals and NPCs.

When you open the grate out of the sewer for the first time you realise the immense beauty of lake rumare, but thats the tip of the iceberg. You could if you wish, follow the main quest, and complete it how the developers thought it would be like. Or you can find your own path venture into an unknown cave, or explore the Imperial City's marketplace and see what it has to offer.

The game has oppertunities to be each class as you will, and a race to go along with it. You could be a High Elf Mage, the Arch-Mage of the Arcane University, or a Nordic Warrior, leader of the Fighters guild. There is a great range of quests to complete and level up your character. You may want to find certain items and loot dungeons to find them, while selling what else you find.

The Shivering Isle DLC, lets Sheogorath the Daedric Prince of Madness invite you to his realm, where everything is run a whole lot differently. The Knights of Nine DLC sends you on an epic quest, to defeat Umaril, who threatens Cyrodiil, while worshipping the Nine Divines. Depending on which pack you brought, one edition will come with four DLC houses, each with their own quest, and some other miscellaneous DLC.

So go explore Cyrodiil in all its glory. Be a Warrior, or a Thief, or a Mage or even all of them together! Thats the thing with Oblivion, its an inviting world at your fingertips that will never get old.

However they could patch up on the Havok Physics a bit.
