I don't recommend it at the moment, not because it's a bad game but because it's an unpolished port.
The game is packed with great pc features like ultrawide support with proper interface placement (no 32:9 support though), arbitrary resolutions, unlimited framerates, hdr, a wide variety of input customizations including many controllers layouts and improved graphics over the switch.

But now you ask: what exactly is unpolished?

- The game still retains many assets from the switch version and these are interface elements that were untouched still being displayed at 720p, they look bad at 1080p and especially at 4k (there are quite a lot of these, unfortunately), this problem also affects 2d images in the backgrounds (try looking beyond the sea and you'll see the low-res mountains).
- Cutscenes are locked to 16:9 and 30fps (capcom said that mh rise supported unlocked framerates and 21:9 aspect ratio, isn't this false advertising?)
- Many animations are locked to 15 fps if they are far away from the camera (another switch leftover), only if you get close enough will they render at your selected framerate.
- Region-locked matchmaking (WHYYYYYY!?)
- The dx12 implementation is more or less, the game builds shaders on startup (the good) but fails on multithreading (I have a zen 3 cpu and sometimes it lags because it stresses a single core instead of distributing the load to all of them)
- The graphical options are limited or don't work well, here are the details:
  • The resolution scaler only has 3 options: 70%, 100%, and 150%, please implement an option to freely move between 50 and 200%.
  • Only 1 option of ambient occlusion is available (ssao) that overall worsens the scene and it's not worth turning on, please implement a better solution like hbao+.
  • Screen space reflections, although not an existing option, should be one where it's possible to adjust their resolution because they currently use the switch's meager resolution of 240p (imagine this on a 4k screen, pretty good, huh?).
  • Shadows are probably the most horrendous because no option makes them pretty, high consumes a lot of performance for a slight improvement over low/average, this should be a priority to improve visuals.
  • Motion blur, lens distortion, and film grain are too overdone. Depth of field and vignette work great.
The rest not mentioned, produce great results that improve visuals over the switch.

With this, I demand that capcom wakes up and starts working on the problems mentioned above (and take a break from paid dlcs for once) because they won't see a positive review from me until these issues are fixed.
BUT if none of these bother you, buy it, the game is fun!

Edit - patch 3.9.0.0: The image quality scaling option now works properly and as a result, the image quality got sharper and the anti-aliasing options work well without blurring the details, although, an smaa implementation is still appreciated. A step in the right direction.

Edit 2 - patch 16.0.2.0: Denuvo + capcom anti-tamper + vmprotect + bic got finally removed after 2 years but they added another stupid drm called Enigma :(

Ghostrunner é um jogo onde mistura elementos de jogos como o Doom e o Mirror's Edge Catalyst, onde se assemelha à estrutura/arquitetura dos níveis e a jogabilidade de parkour porém mais acelerada respetivamente, também tem umas semelhanças à espada do Dishonored.

Recheado duma boa banda sonora, um belo mundo cyberpunk/futurista e uma jogabilidade viciante em que sentes que não te impõem limites ao movimento, proporcionam uma experiência muito agradável e libertadora.
A história, ponto mais fraco do jogo (e menos importante), é sobre o ghostrunner que tenta salvar os cidadãos do mundo jogo ou lá o que é, desprezável que nem prestei atenção.

O jogo é relativamente curto, não te oferece mais que 10 horas. Por isso, um grande bónus para aumentar a longevidade seria implementar uma funcionalidade de poder jogar níveis feitos pela comunidade.

Pontos técnicos:
O jogo não possui qualquer tipo de DRM.
Suporta resoluções ultrawide e taxas de fotogramas acima dos 60.
Infelizmente não suporta HDR, penso que o jogo beneficiava imenso se tivesse.
Recomendo jogar no modo Directx11 para um desempenho extra de 20% comparado com o 12.

PC port review

-----Graphical settings-----

Positives:

- Options for texture quality and filtering (up to 16x aniso).
- An option for screen space reflections, they provide great visuals for a reasonable performance hit. When turned off, cubemaps are displayed instead.
- Toggles to turn off depth of field and motion blur.
- A render scale costumizable between 50% and 100%.
- Great amount of anti-aliasing options, these are fxaa, smaa (huge positive for this one) and ssaa up to 2x.

Could be better:

- The option for geometry quality is useless as it doesn't provide any noticeable change and has the same performance across all settings, always leave this one on high.
- Shadows on high take a big performance hit while not producing satisfactory results, only applies to daytime. They look good enough only when not observing closely the details.

Negative:

- Lack of ambient occlusion options, only ssao is supported and its implementation sucks because it adds dirt around the characters and worsens the scene in some cases, not to mention the performance hit. I believe hbao+ would be enough but sadly it isn't here.

-----PC features-----

Positives:

- Field of view option.
- V-sync option (only triple buffer available, no half v-sync or adaptive v-sync).
- Option for adjusting the screen refresh rate.
- Options for arbitrary resolutions, including 4:3, 16:9 and ultrawide ratios.
- Ultrawide resolutions support, including proper hud placement (unlike y0 and y1 which also supported ultrawide but with the hud fixed at a 16:9 ratio).
- Multi-monitor support, also with proper hud placement.
- Support for high framerates.
- Great controller support. Switching between mouse/keyboard and ds4 is automatic and button prompts are displayed correctly.

Could be better:

- Options for window and borderless fullscreen are available but with a considerable performance hit.
- No native hdr support (use specialk mod).
- No FidelityFX CAS support.
- Multi-threading support is here but not well implemented with some cores not being used at all, most hover around at 50% and never hit 80% (tested on a zen2 hexa-core).

Negative:

- The game's graphical performance is mediocre for what is being displayed.
