Simple 2D sidescrolling asteroid shooter. Fun casual gameplay and a lot of levels and 4 bosses. Lot's of grind, but manageable. Has a story and cutscenes which are NOT why you should by this game (AKA they're pretty bad lol). Otherwise will keep you entertained.

Early Access Review
An interesting game mechanic, where you try to keep your ship afloat by moving crew around the ship. Was interesting at first in the scripted tutorial, but falls apart quickly after that. Sadly out of content and after maxing out crew members there's pretty much nothing to do in fights. Also the mechanism where you have to die/lose multiple fights until you have enough money to buy new ships is just bad design.

Also in permanent Early Access, so just avoid.

A chill game with open world flying. A bit of an walking simulator and confusing, at least in the beginning, but gets better as the game progresses.

I haven't played Point & Click adventures in a long time (or if ever), but decided to give this a try.
Gameplay (clicking things) was good and there was a lot of content. Pacing forward was made well and I was never really stuck in any area.
The story was enjoyable, but maybe targeted towards younger audience like teens. It had some elements that were predictable and maybe a bit generic. But I still enjoyed it to the end.
Like a good book, you can really enjoy it once. If I'm ever going to play it again it's for the achievements.
A bit expensive, but give it a try if you like short stories.

Overall score 6/10.

Extremely simple, but extra addictive.
Found this game when is was looking at a Linus Tech Tips video and liked the graphics. Decided to check this out on Steam and had a few extra coins to spare and bought this game. And oh boy I was in for a treat.

Gameplay itself is very simple and arcade-y, only movement to dodge enemies, but the real catch is to plot which weapons and items to pick up every game. It becomes very satisfying to see hundreds of enemies just vanish in front of your machine gun-like firing of everything. The game is definitely not AFK and requires player input (moving) most of the time. Only after like 100+ hours of learning every game mechanic you can start to create the most over powered builds and moving becomes obsolete.

My experience:
  1. I was constantly dying to enemies.
  2. I found out that you can buy upgrades from the menu's shop and was not constantly dying (died only most of the time).
  3. I found out about weapon+item combos and started to plot best possible combos in every game. Managed to win like half of the games and had slowly started to descending to madness.
  4. I started grinding game mechanics (best possible weapons+items+cards+map modifiers) to get over the top items and pump up the damage (started winning most of my games). Was greatly starting to descent into madness.
  5. I got Sammy and using Wicked Season began raking in billions of money and finally broke the game for good (got more XP than needed to the next level WHILE leveling up the last level). Was finally fully descended into madness and laughing with tears in my eyes.

10/10 best worst game I've ever played.

PS. DLCs are also very good and worth the price. I especially liked the Among Us DLC.

Long story short: Wait until all expansions aka DLCs are released and buy them bundled [on sale]. Right now I'd recommend just to get Civilization 5 with all it's DLC.

Civilization 6 introduces some new elements for the all-time-classic game. For example the districts system which I think is a great idea on paper (but it's execution is a bit off).
For new players it's a most likely a good game with a lot of fun, but for those like me who love the previous installment it most likely is not as enjoyable, atleast in it's current state.
I also found a lot of small annoyances and nitpicks, but this is not the place to rant about them.

  • +The core Civilization-type gameplay (4X and so on)
  • +New in-depth choices (like different agendas for war)
  • +Animations
  • +Graphics
  • +Singleplayer is well made

  • +-Districts
  • +-Some refined/changed gameplay features

  • -Feels a bit insufficient at times
  • -No teamplay in singleplayer
  • -No hotseat
  • -Vanilla UI is still pretty bad (it was in Civ 5 as well)
  • -AI is still what it is

In conclusion it's not too bad and has a lot of potential. In it's current state most likely not worth the full price (60e).
Overall score 6/10 for now (1/2019).

PS. But why thumbs up? Because it's still entertaining and worth playing. Hard to review because I just like/love civ 5 much more

Episode 1 is good, but not as good as the original Half-Life 2 or Episode 2. It offers, as expected, a brilliant story with somewhat darker (literally, not figuratively) theme. Biggest downside in my opinion is that it's just too short, it feels like when your friend has a bar of chocolate and gives you one piece. It's good and there's really nothing to complain about but you are left with wanting more. The "final battle" is not as epic as with other HL games. Nonetheless if you like Half-Life (2), you will like this.

Overall score 8/10, at it's best when played alongside Ep2.

To put it short, this game is amazing! The game offer so much to do for so long. Drive cars? Check. Fly planes? Check. Be a terrorist? Check. Go to a titty bar? Check. The story is long and offers many different missions along with a three different characters. The whole map is open right after completing the first few story missions and never feels empty. Also the game has a separate Online, which is constantly updated with free DLCs.
  • +Gameplay
  • +Story
  • +Map
  • +Graphics
  • +Separate single- and multiplayer
  • +Free DLC (Online)

  • -The online community; hackers especially
  • -No singleplayer updates
  • -Controversy on singleplayer modding

Overall 9.5/10, would rob a store with an RPG again

It is really good, like, this is the game which I play no matter if I want to play seriously or just to have some silly fun. The open world is great, atmosphere is immersive and there is simply so much to do. There are bugs, lots of them, but it ain't stopping me from playing this beauty. Mod it 'til it crashes.

  • +Open world freedom
  • +Lots of quests, main story can be postponed forever (been there done that)
  • +RPG
  • +Even vanilla looks great in 2019
  • +MODS

  • ---Bethesda's own store with paid mods
  • -Bugs
  • -Combat is sometimes just swinging your hands around
  • -Vanilla UI designed for crab people

8/10, would play as soon as I figure out which one of my 400+ mods is crashing

Still as good as the original Half Life 2. Only somewhat shorter and has HDR lightning which makes it visually a bit prettier. Biggest downside is the massive cliffhanger at the end (but you already knew that). Still a must play for any Half-Life fans who want to experience a great story and all that. Also mods, mods, mods.
I give it only a 9.6/10 because the cliffhanger is a punch to the face knowing there will not be episode 3.

The rumour has it fans are making the final episode
