I bought into the hype and purchased this game. Don't be a fool like me.

After 3 hours of co-op gameplay all of my progress is gone because multiplayer saves literally cannot be loaded in multiplayer. I had to relaunch my game because of a bug that has not been fixed in over 4 years (Stuck in dialogue with NPC).

Its pretty good

One of the best citybuilders I've ever played despite being early access. The foundations of the game are superb. Problem is, because this game is early access it's missing some features that would add more complexity and fun to the game.

Amazing OST, good graphics, and wonderful building mechanics make this game extremely fun despite being a skeleton of a final product to come later. While we wait for official updates though, mods can fill the gap.

Game of the year.

Game is good great but day 1 DLC and higher cost pricing is bad bad.

If you're looking for a milsim experience then play arma.

If you're looking for a competitive shooter with milsim elements then Squad is what you want.

Squad can be summed up as "Battlefield with elements from Arma." The game is more fast paced, events typically aren't one life, and the main game is PVP objective based. You just join a server, hop into a squad and try to work together. Playing with randoms in a game like Squad though can be frustrating. If your squad lead isn't doing a good job then your fun will be hindered.

Luckily there are communities that you can join which play the game in a coordinated way and have fun while doing so. Weekly community ops are also a blast.

Unfortunately this game is slapped with a $60 price tag that feels too steep for what you get. This game doesn't have the sandbox possibility that Arma has so justifying the game being $20 more is very hard. It is a really fun game though.

Long overdue edit: Game takes an unreal amount of time commitment to stay relevant. Amazon killed this game. It's just not for a western audience.

If you have a lot of free time or lots of money this game is amazing and I can highly recommend
