I love this passion project. It gets better with each patch. There is still a long way to go, but all signs point to this being an awesome game.

so addictive, tense, and much more complex that it first seems. If you don't mind a bit of realism in your games, then this is the one!

I briefly tried CK2 and struggled, but CK3 is excellent. So much easier to execute my ideas. HIGHLY engaging and HIGHLY recommended to players who, like me, struggled to get into the complexity of CK2. I'm gripped!

In equal measure, this game is hard, but rewarding. I've never enjoyed being hacked to death so much. Then every now and again you totally outwit an opponent, and pull of some sweet moves! My latest amusement is to start with no weapon, and scavenge what i can from the battlefield floor. Its a fun new challenge and a great way to practice all the different weapons. This game is a bargain... get it, but be prepared to practice.

12 hours in. Compelling, and frustrating. Overall, given the price, I'd recommend Bad North.
The early game is too easy, and so a bit boring.
The mid section is great. Every now and again I execute a beautiful combined arms manoeuver that makes me punch the air with joy.
Then is suddenly gets very hard, very quickly.

One single mistake, such as a misplaced pike unit, can often snowball and cause a complete rout of your army, and the end of your game - and boom - your back to the start again. If you can accept that kind of merciless failure, then you'll enjoy the game.
