Its not all bad. The mobility is decent, the feeding around the map is a cool touch that gets people moving, and the powers are mostly interesting enough. As someone who doesn't like BRs, the +1 life npcs littered around the map make it more worthwhile.

But it has no customization. Not in gameplay and abilities, not in character customization/visuals. Sure, 'technically' it does, but its extremely weak to the point it just seems like a checked off box to say they had it. This includes the outfits and such.

The sounds are not good quality nor very recognizable.

For the time that it takes to get into a match, then to possibly die fairly fast and be out of the match again ... I don't know how this formula survived, but then again, I'm not a BR player.

Early Access Review
Its a solid fighter, very smooth, with really fun characters. They're so great, design, movesets are solid, style is wonderful. It plays pretty well also, between the linking and cancelling. If you're used to japanese 2d fighters, you'll be at home here.

The stages are all too similar and boring though. The color palettes are very similar on all of them and there's not really any stages IMO that stand out or you look forward to like so many in the street fighter games, some of the DOA or KOF games.

The game is fun but imo its not exciting since its very muted, soft and sleepy. I wouldn't watch it on a tourney, and I'd likely hop to a different game if I had the opportunity. It just doesn't pack a punch in its presentation, between the stages, the supers, the announcer. Its not exciting.

Its mechanically good, but its not exciting.

Fun and lovely characters - though its a little confusing to get into what's going on, I suppose by design.

The action is fun and can get a bit frantic, but blocking feels ineffective and parrying/reflecting doesn't seem to pay off or be worth it since it seems like you still take damage, but gain ether meter on top of reflecting enemy attack at least.

Tried to play with a switch controller and there's no way to block, nor a way to remap keys (or even see them). Wouldn't mind being able to use mouse to power attack and block.

Some characters seem much more effective than others (pan godtier, bird huh?). Need more support powers/characters.

The music and sound is pretty nice too. Its got its own sorta relaxing life to it.

Overall looking forward to more - more gameplay, some understanding of the story and world, controller support and control mapping (without third party software to remap buttons), and more of these adorable gals!
