No one in their right mind could consider this DLC not worthy of a recommendation, or downright bad. I get that the performance issues are jarring and obnoxious, but the content itself is phenomenal. If you loved Elden Ring, you will love Shadow of the Erdtree as well. The additional areas are vast and interesting, with a splendid variety of settings and colours.

The bosses are more hit and miss, having seemingly very different amounts of effort put into them. I would have liked a bit more focused story and build-up regarding the more important bosses. However, a few of them are excellent outliers in this regard as well.

Overall, what I've played so far, I've absolutely both loved and hated, as it should be.
