Team Fortress 2 is a casual game first and Meet your Match ruined this game forever. We have competitive to blame for the terrible state this game is in.

Valve, just please stop updating the game at this point. We are all tired of getting slop after slop after slop. I would rather there be nothing added if this is the quality we're given year after year. It’s frustrating to see a game like Team Fortress 2, which once had such a vibrant community and a clear vision, fall into a cycle of half-hearted updates. The charm and soul that made TF2 special seem to have faded over the years. Instead of adding meaningful content, it feels like we’re getting a string of uninspired updates with cosmetic items that lack creativity, and maps that don’t capture the original spirit. At this point, it might be better to step back and reflect on the game’s legacy rather than risk tarnishing it further with subpar updates. Sometimes, silence can be more respectful than a constant stream of uninspired content.
