I love the Steamworld games! What is here is beautifully crafted. It runs like butter, there are no glitches/bugs, it plays the way it's supposed to, which is apparently a tough target to hit these days. That said, I feel I experienced nearly everything the game has to offer in my first run-through (7.5 hours), which I did in one sitting. The progression feels like a more casual version of Anno 1800's logistics/demand system, which isn't a bad thing, it's just done on such a smaller scale that it's all over very quickly. I don't regret playing it, I just shouldn't have payed full price for this amount of game play. I recommend it at 50% off. Enjoy!

This game delivers fun gameplay in addictive dungeon crawly fashion, with some awesome storytelling that unfolds between "runs" in the dungeons. You almost want to die during the mission to come back and hear more of the story unfold upon your arrival.

The game crashed on my 3 times in my first few minutes of gameplay. I can't recommend right now. It is undoubtedly an incredible game but I requested a refund to wait until bug fixes are in place.

This game is the case study for video game addiction. It allows you to take joy in intentionally crashing a ship full of happy little green people into a mountain, while also causing you to almost cry at the fact you left one of said green people on the moon without enough fuel to get home.

It’s truly incredible in the game how you attempt more and more difficult tasks that a few hours ago you thought were impossible but now you are going at them and succeeding.

Would recommend.

This first-person story-based game has been knocked for not being a "game" by many reviewers up to this point. From the creators' mouths this game functions as a content-delivery system for their intriguing story about the protagonist's family members. You will roam the halls of an empty house discovering various bits of information about her mother, father, and sister, progressing the story with each milestone diary entry found. The voice acting and music throughout is well-produced. Nostalgia plays a big part in this game and it truly strikes an emotional chord at times. I found myself laughing aloud at times during my playthrough and also felt slightly depressed at others as I empathized with Sam(antha), the protagonist's sister. Emotionally, this game aligns itself with the 1985 hit "The Breakfast Club" (aww yeah, hotass Molly Ringwald). I recommend this game to those that can appreciate the artistic story-driven side of the industry (sorry shooter-bros).
