I just want to say that Quake II is one of my all time favorite first-person shooters. Right up there with the other classics like Half-Life, Halo, Serious Sam, Doom, etc. To see this get the modern update it deserves blows my mind and makes me beyond over joyed that it's happening. Nightdive Studios has never failed me before with their previous ports and updates, and I'm beyond happy to see them once more give this seriously underrated title the love and care it deserves.

dead franchise given to a morally bankrupt company that has done little to improve this game

While the offscreen shooting can be rather annoying on some levels and the lack of "options" in the form of masks like the previous game, this game more than makes up for it with it's amazing soundtrack and the inclusion of the level editor.
