This game hides rich and scalable cities deep within the world, knowing fully that many players won't be thorough enough to discover them. That's the type of game this is.

I lament that I'll not be able to experience this game again for the first time.

This game is teeming with philosophical and social insights and builds one of the most spectacular and telling stories of humanity (or perhaps robotity) from a post-apocalyptic perspective. It also offers brilliant commentary on religion, indoctrination and independent thinking, as well as tons of unique and challenging puzzles with innovative solutions.

I cannot recommend buying this game if you are going to play it alone. After putting hundreds of hours into the game in over a year, the pregression of the game from the developers has been minimal, and it has even become perhaps worse. The developers are not even remotely finished with the design of the game, flattening out the bugs and implementing new and balanced weapons and other additions, but they constantly release new skins, microtransactions, and even split the game in two to get more money from the players. The balancing is this game is awful. Every time they make a new update to balance the weapons, which is like once every few months, they always end up screwing up other weapons and taking several steps back development-wise. The new game mode "ignition" exemplifies H1Z1's lack of care for its game. In order to be under the pretense of still developing the game, they released this new game mode, which is almost the same as the original Battle Royale, except it is faster paced, making it incredibly more unbalanced. You spawn in some remote part of the map, have 7:30 minutes to get weapons and get to the safe-zone, and end up dying in the first 3 minutes without any sufficient gear almost repeatedly. Skill does not matter in this new game mode. The best Battle Royale players do not even do well consistently in this game mode. The only way this game is worth your money is if you plan to play with a group of friends, which is quite fun.
