How is something so boring yet so fun at the same time?

Following the game's story at its current state is like listening to a four year old recounting what they did on their holiday trip

Feeling cynical but this is a game where it has zero reason being a game and should've been a TV show. Player has no choices in the story, the shooting is absolute garbage.The game even gives up interesting missions for nonstop shooting galleries for the sake of the devs feeling the need to make things "gamey". Only reason why I'm still playing is because the story is genuinely fantastic and I can't give up now.

So my recommendation is that you just watch this thing on youtube.

I think of Red Dead 2 as a masterpiece, flaws and all.

This is the best assassins creed game I've played since brotherhood and it's painfully inoffensive unless you're a Tolkien fan...Then you might have a most unfortunate passing from even hearing about story decisions and lore changes - if you are like me enjoy yourself and go to the forums.

Only thing I remember clearly is that one orc got waaaay too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ powerful and took my ass on the regular, it got so bad that I had to create a rival only for it to betray its creator resulting in a tigers to get rid of wolves type situation

Other than this I just know that it played itself and had a switcheroo in the story that was really, really lame. It's honestly so forgetable that I don't really know and I ♥♥♥♥ on games I last played years ago. So it kinna forgetable.

Fun game. Do buy and play it if you've played it before or classic strategy games.

This thing has, dare I say it - not stood the test of time as well as other strategy games from this era.

Like graphics are charming in this ugly early 3D models way and the soundtrack is a huge banger. The mechanics are interesting this thing tries new things and I like that. But in my opinion the gameplay of rock paper scissor balancing only really works for age of empires 2. It just feels very, very boring and one sided to play today with these death balls or how boring some of the units are. Essentially all of them are just point and click attack with some having this recharging bar for a special more powerful attack like the minotaur bash which just flings a unit and deals heavy damage.

Sure they are cool to look at and makes fight more interesting visually but something more micro intensive than egyptian priests and missile units would be welcome.

But when it comes to presentation this game really slaps, the ost is booming and full of character the campaigns for atlanteans and Arkantos are also very full of personality and bring fun scenarios.

This one got nostalgia to it but its gameplay can be pretty rough around the edges and feel too reliant on rock paper scissors type army compositions.

The fact that this ♥♥♥♥ got such high review scores while being a terrible fallout game and mediocre, boring nothing new looter shooter without actual fun shooting or movement. This thing is a mess, it's hideous, it's buggy and the only thing that redeems it is the general vibe to it I.e the ost and environment so your typical Bethesda product in the 2010's. I have no clue like thinking back on this I hardly remember this game's side activites except some ghoul child being stuck in a fridge for a century or some ♥♥♥♥.

Yeah I have no clue, this is perhaps the first time I bought a game where even my dumbass 14 year old self thought "wow this ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks". Best part is that I have not even gotten to the part I hate most about this - the moronical decision to go in a Mass Effect style RPG IN A FRANSCHISE WHERE YOU ARE MEANT TO IMMERSE YOURSELF, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR STORY.
