So, I bought this game on recommendation from a friend and so far I'm enjoying myself greatly! I'm only a few maps into the campaign but it's a very relaxing spin on the Dungeon Keeper formula. Your dwarves are largely autonomous and have various traits that affect their ideal occupations, what sort of contributions they make in conversation, etc. It helps flesh them out just enough that you care about them that little bit more.

I was talking to a friend of mine about this game last night and the best word I could think of to describe the soundtrack is "transcendent". I'm not fantastic at rhythm games (or stellar at FPS games, TBH) but I'm willing to fight through those shortcomings for the sake of this superb game. =D

The visual style takes some getting used to, though, it can be a teensy bit harsh on the eyes, worth keeping in mind for long sessions of play.

Okay so I love every Remedy game I've ever played, but Control might actually be one of my favourite games of all time. But then, so is Alan Wake. xD
Taking heavy influences from the SCP wiki with its New Weird blend of horror, humour and surrealism, Control is a delight from start to finish. It gives you a satisfying selection of weapons and powers and the characters, writing and setting are all thoroughly engaging.

BloodRayne, better than ever and just as campy, schlocky and gory as you remember it! Need I say more? Slice up some nazis, snack on a couple if you get hungry and save the world from demons!

I used to play this game a while ago. It used to be fairly enjoyable, but pretty repetitive. But that's really not a price worth paying for supporting a misogynist, so I'm now going to be hiding this from my Library. Sadly, it's too late for me to get a refund.

Okay, so. Paladins. As a disclaimer, I have only played four games in the competitive/ranked mode and I have lost every single one. I usually stick to casual and I find it to be a very fun game! They're still trying to decide what they want the game to be, though, balancing can change drastically between patches. The main thing that seems to be a constant, though, is that flanks are the most loved class, followed by Damage. I'm sure some people would argue against that, but this is simply what I've observed from my time playing the game. The main balancing goal currently seems to be reducing Time To Kill, which must be endlessly frustrating to people who main Support characters, which is a bit of a thankless job already thanks to some people.

But enough negativity, I really do find this game entertaining enough to keep coming back to it and when you find yourself in a good team, you can feel on top of the world. =3
