I've been a huge fan of fighting games for about 30 years, and Tekken 8, so far, might be one of the best fighting games ever made. The game is just so polished with so much effort put into it, and I haven't even gotten through half of the single player content. Net code has been flawless, and the fights are just so satisfying and fun. I literally play this game with a huge grin plastered across my face. Even losing is still more fun as long as you learn from why you lost, which is really the mark of a great game. Get it, this game is just so much fun, and definitely worth the admittedly substantial effort to learn it.

Adding on local coop just after the fact as a bonus is such a boss move. Teams like this deserve support.

The pinnacle of human creativity and hands down the best game ever created. Stop reading and buy it now. Give them all your money, play it, and then feel guilty that you didn't give them enough money.

Probably one of THE BEST local party games. Simple enough that drunk non-gamers can pick it up, enough depth for gamers to appreciate and hold interest. Excellent pacing. tight engaging controls, super fun power ups (maybe a bit TOO powerful?). Can't recommend this game enough for a night in with drinks and friends.

Seriously needs local split screen multiplayer. In the age of powerful pcs, Steam big screen, and large screen monitors and tvs being used as monitors, it's an absolute kick to the nuts that they would go out of their way to remove that functionality in the pc version.

As somebody who played the original Wind Jammers in the 90's, I gotta say that I love this update, It looks like it's taken some mechanics from a freeware game called Crazy Power Disc but they fit right in and really do make the game more interesting. The updated graphics style, music, visuals UI, announcer are all a fantastic homage to the original and the 90's in general. Control is tight. I'm still not sure about the defensive Power Toss mechanic when you use your super bar as a get out of jail free reversal (limited to super bar, so not abusable), but maybe I'm just old and have trouble with new things, it might grow on me after I couch coop it with some friends this weekend. It looks like we even got the Dog mini game!

Did they need to do a reboot?
Probably not, but Ninja Theory an amzing job.
DMC3CE is one of my all time favoutite games, and always will be be.
At the VERY worst this is a tremendous tribute to be paid to it.
It is so much fun, just buy it and enjoy.

Just a gem of a heartfelt story. Make sure you get the soundtrack too (half goes to charity).
Game play wise, there isn't much, it's like an old Final Fantasy without combat or management,
and that's cool. It even makes fun of itself with a fake battle early on.
It feels like it stays around for just the right amount of time, and has a couple of free DLC episodes I haven't tried yet.
I can definitely recommend it if you enjoy a great narrative and have a soul.

I absolutely love this game. The controls are fantastic and responsive, which is important because it can be a difficult but never unfair game. You can do some surprisingly cool stuff with the 1 button combat which is nicely flushed out with a mass number of environmental hazards you can send baddies into.

The Lovecraft vibe and graphics go well. Everything is very clear and it doesn't feel like they went with old school graphics for the sake of cutting corners. Pixel art is nicely animated. I got a bit of a nostalgic feeling, but your character can just do so much more than old 8 bit games.

Everything in the game feels very intuitive, and just exactly what I want from a platformer. The checkpoint system in which you make your own, is a really cool touch, and keeps the game fun and not frusterating despite it's challenge level. When you do get frustrated, just kick a couple monsters into buzz saws and you'll feel much better.

Last but not least, the soundtrack is awesome.
