I HEAR A GOSLING, SOFTLY A JOSTLING

This game has some guts. Not afraid to tackle very disturbing themes and expose you to some of the absolute worst of humanity. It does so in a way that isn't preachy at all either; it's done very maturely and almost entirely through the environments of the missions and the suspects and civilians you'll interact with. I played the ♥♥♥♥ out of SWAT 4 and so did the devs from what I've seen. I have been waiting years for somebody to take up the torch and I think VOID has done a phenomenal job so far. I can't wait to play the ♥♥♥♥ out of this upon it's full release

I know the controversy behind this game and I definitely know they should have spent at least another year ironing things out, but at it's core it's a good game. The story is especially something unique and you should experience at least once (I will say that your choices don't matter anywhere near as much as they advertised though). Get it on sale, but definitely get if you were ever interested.

Don't let the fact that it's a DOOM game fool you... this isn't just a mindless shooter. This is perhaps the most challenging modern shooter on the market. The gameplay is incredibly well polished, the soundtrack is a work of mastery, and the feeling of finally beating that one fight that's been kicking your ass is delicious. I just wish there was more content, I think this game would benefit greatly from an official horde mode or new free levels to keep players engaged. The first DLC came out recently and I've heard good things but my broke self needs a sale

I know I haven't played it very long, but this game just doesn't feel finished. The gunplay is very tight and I like it, and there's a lot to explore in the world, but the quests are meaningless, the story is bland, and looting is pretty unsatisfying. There is potential here for a truly great game though, and I'll check in on it from time to time hoping I can change this to a positive review.

The moment I launch Hunt: Showdown, I can feel my blood start to boil. My eyes scan over the UI that has been changed for the worse countless times, and a muscle twitches in my tightly clenched jaw. As I glance over the "last match" area, I try to forget last night when I was headshot from 79 meters with dual conversion chain pistols, but it is no use. I slam my desk in frustration, screaming "DENNNNIS!" at the top of my lungs. My mom appears at the top of the stairs, asking softly into the darkness, "Is everything okay, honey?" If only she knew. My eyes then fall onto the leaderboard, where sPiTzEr EnThUsIaSt's reign of terror continues. Memories of a distant, unexpected muzzle flash followed suddenly by the death screen force their way into my already unstable mind. My chunky hand grips my plastic razer mouse with uncontrollable force. My flabby arm shudders as I crush the mouse and violently rip it into pieces. It is my third mouse that month. As I unbox another mouse from the stack in my closet, I think about what loadout would be best to punish the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with. At first, I settle on a dolch precision with crown and king slugs. "This is almost unbeatable at closer ranges", I think to myself. Then, my eyes narrow. "The trading mechanic." I am immediately thrown into a fury and lose all control, flinging my new mouse into my 240hz widescreen monitor. The Hunt lobby screen is almost unrecognizable; a black jagged void has filled the monitor. I stomp over to my tower and go to town. Tears stream down my jowls as I clumsily tear apart my $3300 gaming/streaming setup. Still fuming, I drop my drawers and aim my member at the still-rotating corsair RGB fans. I unleash a stream of yellow justice into my tower, immediately shorting my motherboard. A cloud of soot erupts from the power supply, coating my dripping wet RTX 3080. "This one's for you, Mike," I blubber. I fall to my knees and curl into a fetal position while the smiling faces of Psychoghost and Dennis Schwarz haunt my mind's eye. Then, I remember: the Bread Boiz. Slowly but surely, a grin emerges on my tear-and-piss soaked face. I grab my car keys, my mom's credit card, and walk proudly out the door. "MOOOM! I'm going to microcenter!"

This game seriously pisses me off. Ubisoft tries to ruin it every other month it seems, the community is trash, and the matchmaking is terrible. Yet I keep coming back, because the gameplay is just so excellent and unique.

This game turns evisceration into an art form and is a wonderful stress reliever with some challenge if you want to get serious

Honestly, this is probably the best expansion ever released for any game. A reasonable price, a wealth of content, and a fascinating story thats aruably better than the base game's, or at least as good. A must have if you enjoyed Wild Hunt.
