Great game, realy special one. Horrendous save system corrupted my game and I was unable to finish it. Issues with save data is known for years.
Edit: Previously negative, I was just being salty because of the save data issue between EGS-> Steam. It does not change the fact that the game is perfect, and boundary-pushing when it comes to game making and story telling.

I've decided to update my review since the game has been bombed with negative and mostly unfair reviews (sometimes written by users who gave the game 10 hours or so).
For my experience? Beautiful game, especially when taking into the account that it's made in UE3, with plenty of content for thousand of hours. Combat feels so alive and responsive that I cannot really compare to any MMO that I've played. Of course there is the giant elephant in the room. The game is free-to-play model with obvious pay-to-win mechanics and UI baits to get you interested in the in-game shop. Up until this day I did not spend a dime on boosting my character. Please, if you've watched any streamer spending money like crazy, rage honing (upgrading his equipment), buying everything possible from the shop - let me explain. Either that streamer is sick and should seek help or he's doing it for the content. For instance, there has been examples where streamer was spending thousands of dolars to get one upgrade - do not think that this is core gameplay, this behavior is necessary to take part in the end-game. No. Simply no. I've done everything by myself - I've understood the game, picked my main character and started doing every (I mean it, every) possible content on the main character and that's how I got myself easily into the latest tier of content. No alts (yet), no in-game transactions. If you've bounced off the game because of how some streamers/contet creators portrayed the game - give it another try. If you don't understand some mechanics, just google it, watch a video and game will become really rewarding. I just hope that AGS will not screw it up somehow just like they did with New World.
