Dumbed down systems compared to old games, instanced missions and not open world in the slightest.

Simpler combat and party system, cringe-worthy NPC dialogue.

Not for everyone, some people will like it but it's not like DA:O which is still a better game despite its age.

It's one of the best games i've ever played and the best survival game i've played to date.

Everything about this game is fun, the woodcutting, the mining, the building, and the combat is all extremely well done.

The most dangerous enemy in this game is felling trees, i have crushed my friends and myself multiple times to the point where we have a sign noting how many days it has been since the last tree related incident.
Mining is equally as dangerous as you have to head into dark and foggy forests infested with lots of things that want you dead. Luckily with the combat being so enjoyable you don't mind getting run up on by a gang of angry wood-men, perfectly timing your block will stun them, combos deal more and more damage and dark souls players will feel right at home with rolling past the attacks of enemies. You can be anything from a master archer to a sneaky rogue as (knives have incredible back-stab critical hits and there is a sneak system) to a simple board and sword warrior.

I could write pages and pages about how fun this game is and my adventures with my friends but that means you're here reading this review when you should have already bought the game and be playing it!

it's refreshing to see a developer who has put so much passion into a game and clearly made it because they wanted to make a good game and not as a quick unity cash grab, don't let the early access tag fool you this game is incredibly stable, runs well and feels very polished, even when compared to a lot of AAA titles that are released.

I can't wait to see what additions and expansions will be made. 9/10
