This game is a classic and arguably one of the best games of 2010-2020. If it was at that time I was posting this review it would without question be recommend. Unfortunately at this time the game is unplayable as it will not launch on newer systems, as others have already pointed out. There is no mention of this on the store page. If you take the risk and it doesn't work please remember the return window for steam games and promptly refund.

If I try this game on day again and it does launch I will change my review.

Update... After failing to launch all day yesterday (stuck at 'updating executable') today it went onto the next step and finished the install and finally launched... Hit and miss but I'll recommend it.

This game is not fun. I play with friends because it's free.

One of the best games created... Nice change of pace from the run and gun games. Unique play for a battle royal.

Short fun game can jump on for a few rounds at any time - fast paced but not overwhelming

Despite all the bugs and unbalanced game-play I've been playing company of heroes 3 regularly. The game has improved since being first released with small UI tweaks and balance adjustments. It was at a pretty good point... and then hammer & shield "expansion" came out. Somehow Relic has managed to undue a year of balance tweaks by adding in a few game breaking units. The new German arty acts like a battlegroup ability in the amount of damage dealt but without the warning - it can fire frequently and over a very wide area and essentially cover the whole map from being built anywhere. One hit is enough to knock a full squad down to 1 and the second hit (sure to happen even while retreating) will wipe them. Due to the wide spread this isn't a blobbing issue - units spread out will die just as much as blobbed units.

It's nice that they added the replay feature though.... you get to really see just how unbalanced this is. Enemy team choosing to not engage you with their units - sit with 1200+ manpower and yet somehow kill you and all your allies with just there arty while they build essentially fort knox.

The small amount of fun factor this game had is gone and I have no plans to play again.

One of the most underrated games I've played. While the game is challenging to get into - it is also very rewarding experience. Oddly enough it is also a very calming chill experience despite the challenge it demands. A lot more could be said - but this is one of my top 3 favourite games. Advanced Minecraft with a heavy STEM focus. If you love figuring solutions to problems and building from scratch - any don't mind learning a little programming - you'll love this game!

That said it's not perfect and hopefully the developer will keep working on this project until it's in a finished state - The normal price if a bit high.

Doesn't seem to work on windows 10 but was a great back before this.
