if you want a chill factory building game pick this up. you can make a organized factory or you can make a full mess of belts and nonsense where you cant find anything. i will warn you that hours can and will pass you by while playing this game. it has coop so you and your friends can build together. and if you ever get an item and dont know what to do with it just save it might be useful later or you can sink it for fun items and upgrades to your factory like walls, floors, alternate power poles or even coffee cup and a music box.

Helldivers 2 is a good game and I'm glad the devs took the time to listen to their community and return to having fun being at the center of their balance changes. The game is a fun time especially with friends and the call-ins feel impactful and fun. Each unlock gives a new way to play, and each faction feels unique to play against. This is an amazing game at a good price. Now if only it was available to play in all regions again. 9/10

good damn game with fun but challenging gameplay with a more modern take on Classic FPS with a retro feel. by modern i mean there are lots of traversal options beyond just jumping and running, with a chainsaw slide, dash, grapple arm, double jump and even a telafrag sniper. the core gameplay is full of action and combat with the classic health and armor system of old and ammo for various weapons which you have a total of 10 by the end of the game some sharing ammo and some like the rocket launcher using its own. there are even collectables to find in the levels much like classic shooters find all 3 tapes get a level find all 3 chips get a cheat code. the games progression is well done with upgrades to both the weapons and the character and character upgrades can be swapped out throughout the game. and there are even some hidden gameplay sprinkled throughout the game

all in all 10/10 Turbo Overkill is a fun modern take on a retro shooter

this game is good but this game is not for everyone. it made me sad and feel for the characters involved in the story. the world building is good and gives context to the games story. the character designs are amazing, the Enemies are creepy and only get more so as the game goes on. the plot can get overwhelming and confusing but you should get to that point where it clicks and you understand what is going on. the CRT retro look makes this game timeless. its game play is also very retro but that works well for it. this is a good game but if you cant handle horror or a story maybe not. i still cant believe that 2 people made this

this is a what a remake should be a complete re-imagining of an older title not a remaster which it just the same game with better textures. the game feels good and looks good. it keeps the horror going with its AI director that will mess with you when you go into already explored areas. normally im not one for the whole graphics make the game but in this the graphics help the overall experience with their use of lighting textures fog and all that technical stuff. the animations feel good and the added voice for Isaac is a good choice. also mad props to the accessibility and options menu there is everything that you need there and with the accessibility modes it can make the horror more fun for those who arent into horror.

i cannot recommend this game enough it is so very good and worth your time and money

it is in some ways better than warhammer 2 and in other ways worse. am i having fun yes, am i also frustrated yes.

as of writing i have noted some minor issues i have with the game such as minor settlement battles taking way to long to fight and that the settlement maps are in a way too big to manage unless you use the strategic view which im not the biggest fan the maps work better if they were smaller or that those scales of maps were used for just capitols of a region rather then minor backwaters that have like one upgrade . also all units are stuck in defensive mode thus will just stand there and let cavalry run off rather then hold them as best they can, how do i know this well when i try to pull my cavalry away they are stuck in a fight rather then being let off like the AI.

on the upside the new factions and new campaign map is fun and i do enjoy more campaign variety rather than just picking another race but who knows how long the love of this new map will last. the prologue is also nice as it sets up the main campaign and teaches new players how to play the game.

city battles are more grand and fun to fight but some times just feel like they use the same map as the settlements but with walls on top mixed bag for me. the defenders get more options rather then the hold the walls for the turrets to fire. the turrets fire on their own and you can build smaller turret towers in the city itself along with barricades that act like mini walls.

given that the game is new there isnt a huge roster of factions to play and the grand campaign map has yet to be added so if you want to play vampires or tomb kings you will have to wait or stick with warhammer 2.

gifted to me by a friend. if you enjoy a challenge and 0 tutorial then this is the game for you. beyond the rough start of not knowing what to do the game is fun and you will get hours of enjoyment out of it. and with many free maps you only really need to get the base game to enjoy it. the dinosaurs are fun and the main part of the game and should be treated like tools rather than pets each one has its own function. the game has lots of customization in terms of setting up a map / save file from how long days are to dino damage, general difficulty, and how fast you gain XP. dispite all of this there is one option that is lacking and that a keep inventory option when you die when playing solo its a pain to die and even worse to go on a corpse run.

pros-
hours of gameplay per map
DINOSAURS
challenging
pvp and or pve gameplay
lots of free maps

cons
no tutorial
frustration of progress loss due to death.

good buy if you want to be sucked into something for well over 100h, like survival crafting games and dinosaurs

i love the idea and would probably enjoy the game play if i was able to run it on my potato. the expansions visual / graphical updates have made it so that i can no longer play the current version of the game with any amount of stability. at its core odyssey is an expansion that was added on to a game that i consider to be vast but lacking depth. base game can be described as a space trucking sim with exploration and combat. odyssey with its addition of "space legs" allows the player to engage ground based 1st person space suit game play, but like the core game it has its issues of being vast, so vast that travel will be most of your time spent in game between actually doing missions and returning to the quest giver. odyssey also adds NPC shuttles that you can book to get you there and back without needing to risk or even pilot your own ship this is a con and a pro. pro it allows players to get rid of their taxi ships that they keep for just getting to places that their other ships just don't have the range to get to the down side it makes the game more like a mobile game with timers where you are waiting to get to the "fun" part by sitting in one of the shuttles, but they seem to have reduced the travel time while in a shuttle as jumps that would take me 12mins feel more like 5 or less. the upgrade system shows its evil face in odyssey as weapon and armour upgrades must be purchased and unlocked with collectable resources. weapons have attachments but are treated like upgrades and must be acquired as such though sometimes you will encounter a vendor selling a weapon with an attachment already installed or selling a weapon or armour with a higher tier though this seems to be random but isn't as each vendor has their own set inventory. the max level for weapons and armours is 5 but the max that you can buy from a vendor is 3. the actual missions are subpar when compared to other FPS games. mostly go hear and kill target or place / take item from location, return to quest giver. the combat zones are like small FPS matches of domination. as for combat the game has personal shields that you and NPCs can manually turn on then a heath pool. weapons are ballistic good for heath not shields, plasma can damage both and lasers which are said in game to be really only good against shields but i found myself using plasma or lasers as the shield down time is stupid, the enemies shields recharge faster than i can switch to my other gun and deal any reliable damage that is when my PC isn't running it sub 15frames. and when my shields are up it my suit runs out of power faster than no mans sky space suit on launch also you can only use your space legs on planets or in a small area on stations. no space walks or walking around the inside of your ship.

TLDR; combat is silly with shields recharging too fast for both yourself and NPCs while you will quickly run out of suit power and die from lack of air or lack of shield protection. higher system requirements due to "muh graphics" and spending most of your time getting there. worse than the "base" games space trucking sim that has combat and exploration as a feature.

more of a space sim then any other, no spread sheets, no overly elaborate story. Just you, your ship and the galaxy.....and maybe some pirates. now this game isn't for everyone and it has a learning curve. But if you like space and exploring space this might be the game for you.

the good
-full flight sick controller support
-immersive atmosphere
-lots to explore
-variety of ship gameplay
-lots of ships to pilot
-ship customization and modification
-the player base

the bad
-mouse and keyboard isn't fun to play
-lots of in-game grind
-the learning curve
-the player base

with a flight stick fun, without not so much, if you get this game i recommend having a flight stick to go with it. as of right now you can fly your spaceship and use a rover no boots on the ground yet.
the whole of the milky way is yours to explore but only if you know how. exploring isnt everything though as you can be a space miner or a bounty hunter or even a pirate. there is a massive catalog of ships ready to fly that can fit any of the gameplay roles you want to pursue and each ship can be modified to better suit those roles. both a pro and a con is the player base on one hand they can be the best and most helpful people out there and on the other they can be down right toxic just going around player killing cause they can. a mixed bag to be sure. as i said the learning curve is there as when i started i hand to learn the key binds and basic mechanics such as how to land and how to travel from system to system. then there is the learning of how to progress, make credits, what ships are good for what and what upgrades for your ship do. lastly the grind does exist and some ships and bonuses are locked behind that grind.
