The publisher should go out, find all the copies, bury them in the darkest place known to man, leave it there and never speak of it again.

The best part of the whole game was when I pressed the button "esc"

I briefly considered driving my car off a cliff on the way home one day, just so I wouldn't have to play it anymore.

“You’d probably have more fun playing backgammon online with your mother-in-law.”

Early Access Review
This is the kind of game that's given away when you order a large pizza and get the second one for half price.

Große farbige Punkte, welche dann Punkte bringen.

All you need to know is that "for cool and unimportant reasons", Redfield City's army of the undead literally explode when shot. Under normal circumstances, this would make clearing the streets of drooling beings rather simple, but this is video gaming we're talking about. Since when is anything straightforward?

With all but one of your team having been wiped out, you arrive at the epicenter of the outbreak inexplicably short of ammunition. What this means, soldier, is that you have three bullets to deal with the undead horde, and have to set off chain reactions to rid the streets of this menace.
Not all zombies are created equal, and some have more explosive energy, while others loose off a few rounds of their firearm in their death throes.

The upshot of a good performance is money, and once you've got enough of the stuff you can set about buying upgrades that, for example, give you more bullets or inflict more damage. Others, meanwhile, grant you more explosive zombies, or increase the radius of their acidic ooze, which generally makes it easier to make a big bloody mess.

All of this adds up to a monstrously addictive quick-fire affair that utterly nails what on-the-go handheld gaming should be about.

Want to beat up a monster with a baseball bat? Or shoot one down with a gun? Or say f_uck it and chop one up with a chainsaw? Well you can do it with Final Exam.

You play as one of four best friends visiting their old high school. There they get trapped in an old town infested by monsters, monsters, and more monsters. This is a 2.5D game that uses combos as its main hook. It’s a lot of fun to throw a monster in the air, jump after him, and bash him to the ground. Oh, by the way, there’s monsters. Did I mention that yet? The AI for the enemies is good, but seems fairly easy if you know what you’re doing regarding gameplay and combos. The combat is fluid and visceral as well as exciting. The game’s not all melee combat. You do have a small arsenal of firearms that are a joy to use. In addition to the melee weapons and firearms, there’s also grenades that feel like a bit of a cheat, but are fun to use nonetheless. The locals for the game are well designed and offer a wide variety play styles.
One thing you need to know before you buy this game is that it’s centered around co-op. The singleplayer is fine, but multiplayer is where I had most of my fun. Whether locally or online, cooperative play adds a lot to the beat-em-up aspect of the gameplay. Taking on the horde of monsters with a friend is very rewarding. Each player has a tag above their head so you can recognize them among the confusion.

Final Exam is a clever action-packed game that is riddled with horror game staples and campy goodness in equal measures. With specialized characters and art to dazzle your eyes, there's something in here for any type of gamer.

A fun little game with a nice blend of 2D and 3D art, nothing outstanding, but aside from some repetitive pipe music that can get stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Still, it's entertaining and has all the hallmarks of a restaurant time-management game with upgrades, new locations, and easy achievements. The writing is awkward and strange during dialogue between the main characters, but the setting is interesting and I can always appreciate the sky-ship aesthetic.

This will be an odd review, as it might take longer to read this post than the 5 minutes the game took to play through.

The Plan happens to be a wonderful take on the brevity of life and how well it can be shown in such brevity- through the life of a fly. Sure, there might be arguments over the validity of calling this a "game," but it doesn't really matter. It's a short and controlled experience that brings you on a journey of struggle and insight about your place in the universe and what meaning we may find in what little time we get to live for.

This game has all it needs to make a great game, pared down to the absolute minimums necessary. A pervading and eerie atmosphere, subtly haunting music, and the smallest story about the path of life itself. We try to ascend as much as possible in the time we are given and therein lies the transcendent reflection on the nature of life.

LYNE may be simplistic but it ticks all the right boxes. It boasts addictive gameplay, stylish design, a bunch of levels to play through and it’s cheap. Overall, the game is enjoyable so if you enjoying cracking a good puzzle, I recommend giving LYNE a go.
