I really want to be able to recommend this game, but every time I play it I bounce off of it hard. A lot of the foundational pieces are there, but the game feels decidedly lacking and stale and there isn't much charm to keep me here for long. The objective design and AI are boring and one dimensional, everything but the story campaigns feels uninspired, there's a lack of unit customization or anything to keep you invested in their survival. I want an army painter feature so I can go to battle with my own scheme like in Dawn of War, let me name my units and pick more than a few wargear options, give them enhancements and whatnot that unlock at different levels of veteranacy. If you enjoy this game, I'm glad, but its just not scratching the itch for me the way I'd hoped a turn based tactical warhammer strategy game would.

P.S The flamer on the crisis suits is using the plasma gun for its tile art (bugs the hell outta me).

Great game to... kill time!

This game is gorgeous, with an amazing soundtrack and some great movement mechanics and puzzles. It's like Journey meets Breath of The Wild, 100% worth a playthrough if that's your jam.

This game has literally the best "spot and stalk" gameplay money can buy. Are there some issues and bugs? Sure, what game doesn't launch with a few hiccups these days? (certainly none that I've bought in the last 15 years)

If hunting games are your jam give this one a shot, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how authentic it feels once you get out there and watch your first herd of whitetail feed out into the field you've been posted up on since dawn. Its the next best feeling to being there for real.

Goregous, engaging and full of challenges. This game is a must have for anyone who is a fan of the genre or just a damn good story.
