One of the most atmospheric games I've played so far. If you can struggle your way throuh the lesser decent fighting system and stiff animations you will be rewarded with an awesome experience in terms of world building and exploration freedom.

There were many Metroidvania and even Souls-style games but only few succeeded in creating such a polished little Piece of Art as Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight did.
The core mechanics are within the true nature of a Dark Souls game by focusing on exploration and healing managment instead of grinding and complex character progression.
It never stretches out any of its content. So if you do find a hidden upgrade or an useful item it contains more meaning and satisfaction as opposed to be flooded by a ton of new stuff or to face giant labyrinths in which you problably find yourself lost, sooner or later.
This pacing is very refreshing and even if It's short in comparison to similar games of its genre, every minute of it, is gold.

Awesome mashup of already known assets from the Sonic series and newly created content. The game even challenges your expectations by changing the outcome in some stages of earlier Sonic titles.

Every now and then you get across a gem and just know that what you got there in your hands is something special, unique and profundly awesome. This is how Monolith could definetly be described. In my opinion a perfectly rounded arcade/roguelite schmup in both visual design and gameplay, with many charming homages to classic arcade games and rpgs.

Fluid controls and fun upgrades mixed with great visuals that look strikingly sculptural are making this game an unforgettable blast to play. The level design is constantly challenging in refreshingly diverse ways. One of my best shmup experiences so far.

Neat idea to introduce the gameplay experience of Kero Blaster instead of spoiling something of the main game with an actual demo. But don't expect more than that. There is a hard mode when completing the game but at least it's really just a short appetizer which makes you wanna play Kero Blaster.
Can't wait to see Kero Blaster finallly beeing released on Steam! Hope I'll make it out of the office on time. My boss is calling me.Think he want's me to get the document out of the dungeon again.

What makes a perfect sequel? Take everything from the predecessor and go one step beyond. I spare you listing all features and gamemodes and screen options because it's listed at the describtion of the game itself and there's a ton of it. What I'm gonna try is explaining what makes Raiden to one or maybe "the" best shoot 'em up on Steam.

To sum it up it's the overall feeling of shooting your weapons and destroying stuff. The controls are very precise and the feedback you get from annihilating the enemys just feels right. Raiden IV has a high production value across-the-board.

You upgrade your ship by collecting three different types of your main weapon which get stronger as you collect more upgrades and rockets. The enemy variety is also very high. There are tanks on the ground, big ships, small ones, enemys coming over bridges and turrets on aircraft carriers. The levels are very well designed and highly detailed.
After beating a level you encounter a boss. Those are also very detailed and well animated. And they demand all your reflexes and tactical abilities to beat them.

I recommend grabbing a coffee or a cold beer and sit down with your controller to train your reflexes like an animal. This game is very enjoyable!

A solid port with a decent amount of extra features like different screen options and a save feature (which works only at the title screen to preserve an authentic experience according to the original NES versions of the megaman series).
They added Steam features like leaderboards and a cool challenge mode that provides a high replayability. In addition there is the whole soundtrack of any of the six games included and comfortably listed.

I find it to be very unfortunate that the later releases of the Megaman series, that are only available for consoles, are missing in this collection.

But considering the decent port of six games which are still fun to play because of the great soundtrack and rock solid gameplay it is definitely worth the price.

Highly recommended for lovers of action-packed retro sidescrollers and especially Contra fans.
The game is very close to the original Contra games on NES but without the annoying overhead stages.
In addition there are some features which regard the comfort like changing the resolution and input configuration freely.
