Played a bit in closed beta, just started up again in launch. I will say the initial reaction was that this game is a lot of fun. The problem is that fun fades very very fast. After the initial fun of combat begins to fade, all of this games problems become very hard to ignore. The questing is abysmal and repetitive, the run around with no fast travel, mounts, or even skill/item buffs to increase your run speed is ungodly boring, and forces you to reconcile with the very empty feeling of the world Amazon Games has built. This game feels like it was half finished. As if the majority of content was removed, however its worse than that. The content was never there. The game relies on what is admittedly a great take on combat and weapon specialization, but its not fleshed out enough to hold my attention to the game. The story is nothing. There is no reason to care about the factions, or the towns. There is also a very robust crafting system that holds tons of potential, but aside from crafting ammo and food, I haven't had a lot of reason to pour over crafting. This game is all grind and no content. The PvP is fun, but I personally require a lot more than PvP from a game to keep playing it. Ultimately, I cannot recommend this game in its current state. Its a time sink for little to no reward. I honestly want my 40 bucks back.

Hopefully there are some massive updates to this game to bring out some of the potential and add some much needed content and QoL features. Perhaps I'll pick it back up in the future if updates are kind to it, but as of right now I don't really feel any compelling reasons to keep playing.

I was always a bit daunted by CK, gave II a quick shot, but it was over my head. I'm sure if I powered through the learning curve a bit more I would have loved it, but it didn't keep me hooked. III fixed that. This is a game you can easily get lost in if you get over the learning curve. I think the tutorial in this one is well done as well. It made learning the basics pretty easy. Its insane how much time can be lost with the game paused while you just sit there and consider all your options.

This is just Origins with a new skin. The world is pretty, but thats about all I can say for this game. The game play is terrible. It feels cheap, and mindless. The characters are as flat and unmoving as their stiff non-human movements. The story lacks depth and at times is incoherent. Even when this game is at its best, I find myself struggling to pay attention. Its absurdly lackluster. I know it has a firm fanbase, and that is why I have held off reviewing, but with Valhalla coming out (and looking to be just another skin of this game....wtf Ubisoft) I had to put my two cents in. After origins and this, I'll no longer be giving Ubisoft my money.

I don't know what to say that hasn't been said. Lots of content, great story, tons of fun. I'm not a hardcore fan, and I will say it took a long time for Geralt to grow on me, and some of the other characters annoyed me for a long time. After a while though, I started to get a little more into the lore and the world, and once that happened I think all of my previous grievances seemed to fall away, and understanding took its place. If you like open world games, and lots of questing, and a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deck-builder card game with a heavy side of intensely good story, then play this game. I didn't play the first 2 (tried, but man they didn't age well), but with a little help from the wiki pages and the old google magic, I have pieced together a pretty solid understanding of the past events. Highly recommend.

I had tapered my expectations pretty dramatically for this game. Star Wars games are historically screwed up in some way shape or form by the time they release. It seems so rare we actually get to enjoy a decent game set in this universe, but it does happen from time to time. And it would seem our time has come again with Jedi Fallen Order. I'm not gonna sit here and type out every little thing that makes this game great. I'll leave that for professional reviewers who get paid for this. What I will say is that this game does not disappoint. Its challenging, gorgeous, fun, and actually has a good story. I'm about 15 hours in, haven't beaten the story yet, but I am completely enthralled. If you have any love for this universe, and you like a challenge (kinda Dark Souls-ish), buy this game.

This game is amazing. It really is like a mix of Star Trek and D&D. I really like the dice rolling mechanics. Ship combat is pretty good, though I would love to see some more ship modules and more ships. I really don't have anything bad to say. The writing is amazing and the story is enthralling. I can lose myself playing this. There are a few bugs and script issues, but its still early access, and they have a really easy system in place to report any issues found. Very eager for more updates, and full release.
