What a game!

Frictional's latest is one for the history books, an absolute masterpiece of a story coupled with disturbing visuals and top notch sound design.

Don't expect the same type of horror as in Amnesia though. Although still scary and utterly terrifying at times, SOMA takes a different route this time around, going for existentialism and psychological horror.

For me, this game was almost perfect from start to finish.
If I had to list one negative point, it would be the enemy encounters. Although they are necessary to create the unsettling atmosphere, they feel badly designed and break the immersion due to the sub-par AI.

Because of this, SOMA gets a 9/10 from me.
