After playing some more of it, I had to update my review.

I could start with the fact, that it's cool to come back to Serious Sam every now and then. And new content is always fascinating. It sure was a hype, for the 4th one.

Unfortunately this Sam does feel really rushed. My pc can handle a lot, but whatever settings I have tried, a lot of textures are blinking during cinematics, or sometimes gamplay.
Even though I believe no matter what settings you use, black and white flashing should not be a thing.
Even though there has been a patch that added and fixed some stuff, kill animations still feel lazy as heck, which brings the mood down a lot :(
And huge fps drops when you zoom in with the sniper rifle.

I'm not mentioning bugs, when you can easily, without any effort just go over walls, behind the actual level, and just explore this flat land with some noclip buildings. I didn't even try to break it, I accidentally jumped over and thankfuly could find my way back, by backtracking down the area.

"Legion system" that they promoted, without mentioning that it's going to be only on one level, with "dummies" just running and shooting, without any AI intellect, was really really upsetting to me :(
Like some sort of "Buy it, it's very cool man!". I feel scammed, and sad about it :(

I actually really liked the 3d Serious Sam, with it's setting, gameplay and everything. But this 4th one feels...just boring. The community maps in workshop, like Dunes and Karnak from SS The First Encounter are amazing. I loved it so much. Perhaps my nostalgic part is being pretty buyest here, but I do actually believe that the fun of Serious Sam was in these beautiful and colourful places. Desert, or Jungle, with tempels and traps. Spinning in the air, surrounded by sparkles weapons, equipment, that is just calling for you to pick them up, or to touch it, even though you are full on it. And the music. Music was absolutely fantastic. Fun, energetic.
But in Serious Sam 4, all you see is the same looking grey city, with the same monotonous music that gives you no feel for action, or fun.

Perhaps it was an experiment, that sure is a brave move. But this is not what makes Serious Sam fun for me. Even though it's calles Serious Sam, the game itself has not been feeling as Serious. It was fun silly shooter, on the lands of Egypt, or in the deeps of some Indian temple and what not.
It really feels rushed, as if not much effort was put into this.

If I could say good things about it, that sure would be amazing graphics and models. Some songs and music are great too. Like the ones on the Jeeps and Combine.
There are some green levels I really liked. Like the one when you need to set up a beacon. There is an area with little structure in the water, surrounded by mountain, on top of which red headless bois spawn. This scene was beautiful.
Some of the secrets are great and fun :D
Giant robots part was pretty fun too! New monsters indeas was amazing as well. And the way devs redesigned old ones. Great job on that one!

I can recommend this game for veteran fans, who just like Serious Sam in whatever form he is. Even though all Sam gameplay would most likely be satisfying for Sam fans only. And if this game ever finds it's continuation, I would love for it to come back to it's routes. To colourful and fun levels, with traps and silly gravity. To fun and epic music. To spinning in the air weapons. Sure, we could always just play First Encounter and Second Encounter in that case. But it's always fun to play new stuff, perhaps with new mechanics or other experiments. And I believe that fun in sam is not in grey realistic cities, with depressing music or plot. Even though again, I really did like Serious Sam 3. It has found it's balance there.

I really love this game and want the best for it. So when you play it, the memory of it would stay with you. The memory of fun music and monster annihilation. Like Christmas remix in SSTSE, or well known "War" music on boss fights.

This game is amazing. I got so into it as soon as started playing. It reminds me of Binding of Isaac. With random dungeons, 1000 items and even upgrades, oh hell yeah upgrades. I absolutely loved it and every coin I spend on this game is worth it.

I love this game. The story will catch you and won't let go untill the very end. The main character is great to say the least, with his charisma and motivation. I also love the fact that you can do 1.000.000 things there from fishing to robbing trains. Super cool. In this game you will spend a lot of hours, having lots of fun.

This game is very fun to play, specially with friends. At the launch there were matchmaking problems, but developers are solving the issue. And they did offer alternative in their discord on how to deal with it temporarily. So I would recommend to buy this game and try it out, it's worth it.

Pretty atmospheric horror game with a story I understood partly only. Game vary from puzzle solving to dealing with scary creatures. And man, these puzzles were something, sometimes. I loved the fact that in the chace you always will understand on where to run, with little implemented by developers details. And I loved the characters, specifically the main one. His voice, the way he talks, his charisma. And even though at some point through the game I got a little confused with a story behind it, I still liked it overall, and thank developers for investing their time and energy into this art.

I got so into this game from the very beginning. I felt like a real space engineer with his own tasks and problems to deal with. The space atmosphere was pleasant to eye. And I loved a lot of little details. Such as animation changing when main character is scared. Scary moments are unexpected here. And well, with few chaises and puzzles on the way I enjoyed playing this game very much.

When I played the demo, the story touched me very deeply and I decided to buy full version. The story about little girl, with not so happy environment around her. But she acts like a pure child, seeing things her own way. There are some choice making mechanics which can be surprising most of the time. I liked this storytelling concept very much and for what developers had accomplished, I think they deserve the money they set for this game. Would love to have another story like that.

Great game, loved it a lot. People may be saying it's too short, but I would say that for the game level like this, it was just right. It also has an option to turn "timing" on reaction buttons off. And since I'm not used to letters on joystick I would not hit any button at all. And that way I enjoyed the game a lot. (Yes, I didn't play with a keyboard). The story is good, I liked the characters, didn't want any of them to die. They all had different personalites. I don't regret any coin spended on that game, because it is absolutely deserved. Very interesting, atmospheric and keeping in tension. 10 "In any incomprehensible situation drink beer" out of 10. Will absolutely buy the next part of these game series.

Unfortunately too many bugs for now. Stuck in the tutorial in some sort of glowing portal as a killer. (plus side tutorial had a check point and I didn't need to replay whole of it). Seen people getting stuck in hiding spots and sitting like that all game. Fell down through textures as soon as joined and then died. Also this quiet atmosphere feels kinda boring than tense. Don't have a wish to play it at least for now, surely.
