Broken, barely functional bug ridden mess, and still one of the best, if not the best, isometric CRPGs ever made. Comparisons to BG3 will invariably be made since apparently that's the genre defining game now. BG3 is breathe of an ocean, depth of a puddle. This is depth of an ocean, breathe of a good-sized sea.

>Trash to boss ratio a little high outside of the final world (which was perfect)
>Every item is a secret, and a great many of them are absolutely idiotic. Game sold over a million copies and the final class was found through data-mining. Don't expect to find anything if you play like a normal human.
>I dislike one-character-does-everything progression systems. (personal preference)

dumb party game

When you finish a level in GTFO you feel like you've done something cool, challenging & unique with friends, and that's the highest praise I can give to a coop game.

It's super fresh. It's something different in that it's a horror game, whereas its contemporaries in the coop horror genre are all primarily action (L4D, Vermintide, B4B, Deadspace) GTFO makes you actually afraid. Afraid that someone is going to make that one wrong step, and wake-up the nest full of sleepers(that you're standing the middle of) afraid that you're going to miss the scout headshot, and bring a horde down on yourselves. Afraid because you've just barely limped out of the last ♥♥♥♥-up, and that you're not going to have the resources left to deal with the next ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
