This is certainly the most stable on release from the series. I've yet to have one crash....well that's the positive.

Some of the mechanics need to be changed especially those that effect the mid-game point. The game cheats you in the sense that you can see the AI factions in negative cash and also food resource yet they throw stacks after stack at you whilst suffering no attrition...this should not be a thing.

The worst tactic that the AI seems to employ is sending a stack into your territory you then have to send an army after it. Due to the 'retreat once' BS before they have to fight you, they constantly just retreat out of your reach so you can never initiate a battle. So one of your limited armies are spent chasing some minor stack of cowards around the map...get it sorted.

Diplomacy is a lot more in depth albeit completely broken, as factions will randomly attack you for no reason then want to trade the next minute.

Basically this is a re-skin of warhammer with new things that don't work properly and broken AI... I give this game 6 dog turds out of 10.

This game reminds me of something I would put in a bin.......rubbish.

This game is amazing on the eye and is incrediably well written. 10/10

To keep this short.

PROS:-

Graphics are amazing, really well polished game.
The gunplay is good, guns feel nice and punchy.
Really good fun playing with friends, easy to drop in and out of combat etc.
AI is pretty good at higher levels.


CONS:-

The main missions are structured fairly poorly, as you are doing them as a team you dont really have the immersive quality.
Can get a bit boring after a while as one you get to the high-end you are just rinse and repeat the same stuff.
Reading the weapon and gear sets stats is a bit of a riot and take a bit or working out.

Ultimately its a good game though, If its on sale I would definately recommend picking it up.

If you are looking for a single player basketball game then this is a decent enough effort.

In terms of a multiplayer experience I would say this years one is the most disappointing.

Overhauling the attribute system is a complete waste of time given that cheaters can simply whack the cheat engine on and win every game in MyPark to get to the desired level so who are you rewarding for the grind here exactly 2K.

Having 'enjoyed' a fair amount of online play when the game was released, you had the odd cheater but it was still playable. MyPark is now full of cheaters, even when they dont crash the game through use of Cheat Engine you cant get a decent game going as they have god like ability thus making it non-competative and rendering the game broken.

My advice for this year would be to save your money and buy EA if it comes out and leave the cheaters to play their 2K.

In short, a great game with so much potential..

If you like something a little less serious than the likes of DayZ etc then this is for you.

After seeing this on sale for £15 in a local shop I thought I would give it a chance.

Having played all of the previous TW games including Rome 2 I didnt really know what to expect from Atilla. The inevitable crashing issues that ruined Empire TW on launch, the random crashing issues while ending a turn during Rome 2. These are all problems that dont appear to be shared with Atilla in my experience. The only thing missing from Atilla is content...


I understand that DLC is a license to print money these days and tbh I dont object to it as it can breath new life into an otherwise burned out game. But this is by far the worst case of a bare bones game I've ever seen. Basically all the factions you would want to play as are only available via DLC leaving you with a load of old arse to choose from. In previous games you have a handful of decent factions to choose from and it all seems to make a difference to your play-style, not so much in this nonsense.

The guy who done the voiceover work for this game needs a severe kick in the stones as well, the amount of times I heard a european accent strangely turn into american one is beggers belief and completely amatuer. TBH its par for the course now I guess, I was'nt suprised they have turned to online only games with buy-in upgrades etc. Heaven forbid you want to do something 'CREATIVE' and inject a bit of quality into your once well respected franchise and make something a bit more robust before you spew it out with patches and DLC.

To make a comparison, you would'nt save up all your money to buy a car, only to be told that its not finished, the wheels are missing and in order to make it fully functional you need to pay them more money. Such a poor business model. Best of luck going forward.
