I'm doing my part!

networking is pretty fun

Its been at least a year since I played all day of a release. So yeah its very good but also not for everyone. Worst thing I've encountered is allys falling into water and dying outside combat and framerate issues in the capitol. Pretty minor stuff all told

Kinda like Xcom combined with Dawn of War 2 with Aliens for a paint job. I'll definitely play through the sequel if there is one.

Has alot of potential but has too many maps that abuse the obscured traps that can still fire at you or require you to use an invuln to not die when you grab the genmat. Not to mention the maps where they kill the robot and have a maze you have to navigate without it. It leads to some of the most tedious gameplay. All of which is a real shame with how good the game can be otherwise.

Also has a consistent bug where it doesn't register your clicks sometimes and in a game where half a second delay to a melee attack means the difference between life and death thats a big deal.

Also, their recent changes to the way maps are shown mean that you don't get many runs through your bases so it often seems like a waste of effort to make an awesome map.

As a long time fan of the vermintide series, I want to like this game a lot. I do like it a lot and the moment to moment game play is fantastic but there are a number of things getting in the way of that enjoyment.

Constant crashes
-The game is just unstable and the fact that they released the game where entire teams can get disconnected is terrible.
-Crashes at the wrong time can rob you of your mission rewards.

Bad Gear Progression
-Waiting for the shop to tick over to the next hour to see a selection of more junk is annoying at best.
-No way to fix any of your gear if it has some stats perfect but others are junk aside from the one stunted re-roll.
-If they where going to bungle it this much then they should have just stolen Vermintide 2's gear system. it was great.

Random Map selection
-Why they thought having random available maps and having weekly challenges for specific locations was a good idea is beyond me
(its possible to go hours without getting the map/secondary objectives your looking for)
-Not sure why they thought putting all 5 difficulties on the same map was smart. for most only level 3-4 matter for a long time


Ultimately the game doesn't respect your time and was rushed out the door.
If you're on the fence I would wait 6 months or a year for them to fix these problems (hoping they do fix them)

Edit: Well maybe wait 2 years but at least its in a decent state

If you liked the Starship Trooopers movie and like RTS campaigns then you should pick this up

This is by far the best PSRS (Platonic Solid Recovery Sim) I've ever played. I give it a score of 10 out of 10 failed muggings.
