The devs seem to have a design philosophy purely focused on reducing the amount of fun players should have in their game, by making all the guns feel garbage. Lost interest months ago and seeing the latest balance patch confirms they still stick with this balance, feels like everyone is preaching to a brick wall. The incendiary breaker never even felt that good, it just got pushed to the top as you pushed every other gun down to the bottom, and yet because it becomes the new 'only remotely enjoyable gun to use' you pull it down also. Plenty else thats wrong with the game but realistically if you are doing your best to make your game feel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and less fun to play for the players, how exactly are you going to retain players over the longrun? You guys need to change your balance philosophy in particular, bring ♥♥♥♥♥♥ guns up instead of pulling the only decent ones down. All you are doing is killing your own game. You are balancing a PvE shooter as if its a competitive PvP game and it is utterly idiotic :) Eventually there is going to be nothing enjoyable to use left, and in your attempt to avoid producing a meta (something that is realistically impossible) all you are doing is forcing people further in one direction, as they essentially scavenge to find anything remotely useable.

Good game, a great one even with enough polish, but the current state of CAs attention towards it is quite frankly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insulting. Simple bugs left unchanged for months, bugs that the community proved could be fixed by changing a single line of code... Less communication... Less content in the DLCs and yet have the audacity to ask for more money for them... and the cherry on top is using vaguely threatening language suggesting that if we don't bow and pull out our wallets this game goes the way of 3 Kingdoms. Massive shame on you CA that you tarnish a brilliant game series with ♥♥♥♥ like this, wouldn't be surprised if you were crunching your devs to hell and back alongside this also. Throwing all the goodwill you earned away, hope it was worth it. Don't buy this game and don't support CA as is :) It is a good game but CA are scummy as all hell lately and we shouldn't encourage/reward it. Will gladly change the review to positive if they better themselves, the game does deserve the positive review and across the series I have 2-3k hours... its just CA doesn't deserve it. First DLC I am passing on until a sale

Edit: They broke battle maps in this latest update that were working fine in the previous patch... guys...

Also wanted to note how unbelieveably ass the AI is in this game and has been since release, worse than the previous game in the series, and yet they continually seem to either neglect improving it or give it a try in the odd patch and somehow manage to make it worse, every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time lol. Its rediculous

They have turned it around since I wrote this review. Last DLC offering was actually of a decent quality, they went back and added some more to Shadows of Change to make it less of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ deal, and have fixed numerous bugs, started listening to feedback etc. and the game is on track to getting back to how good WH2 was. Leaving the previous review here still, shouldnt forget what they tried to pull on the playerbase but for now things are back to being decent, most of what I had issue with has been resolved, only the AI still is ass and the only way they seem to be able to improve it is by giving them more cheats which is quite lame :) Other than that, good game and good progress by CA, for now...

Game is good and I could easily recommend it, when it works... Unfortunately Fatshark have somehow managed to make the game run worse than it did in the last beta upon release, where in that beta I would be steady around 60fps on 4k high settings with raytracing on with a 2080 ti, i9-9900k, 64, 32GB 3600MHz RAM etc. and even when hordes spawning not dropping over 5 frames or so below 60, now on release I drop to around 30 fps when hordes spawn. How you have not learned any lessons on launching titles in broken states by now is beyond me, what a joke. Such a shame as well because it is a good game, for me I find it far more enjoyable than vermintide 2 which I had gotten tired of by around the 30 hour mark, such a shame...

Awful game, and the fact that it has been ditched by the developer so soon might mean this great game series is dead for good, thanks a lot relic..

Easily one of the best games of the last few years and costs £14 for GOTY edition in the christmas steam sale as of writing this review. Probably the most worthwhile purchase you could make on steam in my opinion...

I can't stop playing, halp

The multiplayer is fairly decent in my opinion, however single player is really dissapointing. :/

it is very fun and is extremely addictive, worth buying
