(Note: This is a preliminary review assuming the game doesn't get any patches in the next day or two. Take with a grain of salt!)

Tl;dr: The lack of JP voiceover for the Accessories sucks, but it otherwise feels largely identical to the Vita version, for better or worse. The TTS used for Accessory voices could use some work. There are stability issues present that range from major (some players are unable to enter the game - seems to be an issue with fullscreen mode) to relatively minor (occasional frame drops and lag spikes during gameplay - not the greatest for an action game)

A lot of noise has been made about the voice acting for the accessories, so just to clear this up at the top: it's not AI. The Accessories and other robotic voice-over are using a text-to-speech system not dissimilar to Microsoft Sam. I assume all voice rendering is occurring in real time, as I've experienced multiple pronunciation and timing issues on voiced lines that I have to assume would not make it through production otherwise. It's not GREAT, and the mispronunciations are distracting, but I can tolerate it.

The Accessory VO also is only available in English despite the presence of a JP voice track. I suspect the reason for this choice is that Remastered includes a feature that was cut from the English release of Freedom Wars: starting at rank 3, you can customize your Accessory's mid-combat voice lines. This not only includes what they actually say, but how the TTS actually says it.

The game definitely has some stability issues that need to be ironed out. While I didn't have any issues getting in on my rig, I did notice some frame drops while playing. Also, it uses Easy Anti-Cheat, so, take that as you will. There's also some pretty egregious pop in with the NPCs in the walkaround sections.

Aside from that, the game is so far functionally identical to the Vita version, for better and for worse. The UI and camera POV are still scaled around the Vita's screen size, so a lot of UI elements feel egregiously large on a desktop monitor, and the camera feels just a little too close to the player. The default controls put all attacks on the triggers, which I found awkward with this game's playstyle - thankfully, you CAN adjust these.

A lot of quality of life features (like fast travel) are locked behind unlockables - which is a fully intentional part of the experience, for the record - which might be annoying for people who are just hopping in for an action game. The enemy variety's pretty low, too - a lot of the really interesting enemies to fight are present either exclusively in the high difficulty missions, in post-game, or both. I do still recommend it if you're looking for something Monster Hunter-y to tide you over before Wilds drops - there's a lot of neat stuff here that I don't feel like too many other games in its genre have done, and I'd like to see more fully realized if we ever get that Freedom Wars 2.
