I've realized that i haven't reviewed this game (3d place by playing hours in my library). It is old, so it will be a short review. Nothing spectacular, though a new engine was used (at least it looks like) for this version. It looks a bit prettier than the first 2011 version of the game. Everything else is rather the same, a few decks, a campaign, challenges. Maybe deck customizing is a bit better. Uglier and clunkier menu (still better than 2015 version). But the main Pro of this version was Archenemy mode. One of my favorite modes (second to 2HG). So it is probably worth getting just for this reason, to try out playing as a powerful Archenemy, or try beating such monster with 2 friends.

I thought i would never reach second level, at most 10th. But now i'm on 20th and i'm confident i can reach more. This is a simple game to play with your nerves. Flying on a high velocity trying to avoid obstacles. At first it seems you can't make it. But it has nice difficulty curve. There are always 3 objectives to complete and you can complete them ALL, just might need some time to upgrade for some of them. And you get better at controlling the plane as time goes (playing with keyboard though, gamepad lags a bit). Another big plus, that every day it looks differently (don't know if they do it manually or levels generate procedurically). They have similarities and are composed of same objects, but still have some unique spots, so you want to check it out next day. And there are users generated levels also.

Giving negative review just for tying one achievement to f*ckbook. Also it doesn't support Steam cloud for saves. But it probably worth it if you like bridge games, like to have some achievements and very basic story and can get it for 1 euro from Humble Store. Not 9 euros worth at all.

At times it looks boring, doing same stuff over and over again. But next day you feel the same itch to connect some more dots with the l-Y-nes. Simple, ambient, addictive, sometimes brain-burning. elegant. And it's evolving with a daily sets of a varying difficulty.

A marvelous sequel to Alien Makeover game. Nice graphics and smooth flow of matching, a mayhem of special moves, a lot of bonus actions, interesting mini games, etc. It's a pity this one doesn't have achievements tied to Steam (Alien Makeover did, so i wonder why this not). And i would like to craft a badge for this game and have some special background from this game. Trading cards is a must for 7 Wonders game :)

Worth buying with 90% discount coupon. Other than that the price is too big for this simple shoot em up in space game. It has nice graphics, but nothing spectacular. The humour and actors from the movie, but maybe too much humour (Madam President is annoying as hell :)). Nice acting, though all storyline is presented in a small video chat window at the top of the screen. It's ok though for a game costing a few bucks, not 20. One bad thing about dialogs is that they often run during the combat, so you can't really concentrate on them. And nazi general speaks German and there are only subtitles translating it. So you have to shoot enemies and read the text at the same time. Bad, bad design. Dialogs should be out of battles or battles should pause or something. Gameplay becomes repetitive fairly quickly, though sometimes you have to defend or capture something, but most of the time you have to blast enemies. There are several types of enemies, some are tougher. Some require to shoot at the right moment (like Zeppelins, you should shoot into opened docks, but they stay open for such a short time..). There is some strategy to the game, as you should first destroy all the smaller annoying ships, before going for the big ones. You should watch your shields and energy and transfer energy to shields, weapons or engine according to the situation. But if playing carefully you probably will never die. Even if you do, you will go back to the latest save (every major space jump creates auto save). You are also allowed to change ships sometimes and buy upgrades. Other ships are interesting and have different purposes, like Canadian bomber carrying nukes to destroy asteroids, but most of the time you will fly Dundee australian bomber. Another annoying part is that you have to gather salvages of the blasted enemies to sell them to buy upgrades. You blow the ship, you fly to collect the salvage and you do these hundreds of times.. Well, at least there is an achievement to collect 500 scraps and buy all the upgrades for a few ships. All achievements are rather easy (just don't forget to visit all the stations to get all the side missions), but one should try to get them on the first run collecting as many money, kills and salvages as possible, because trying to replay chapters after completing the game will make achievements glitch and not register.

All in all, i was pleased with the recreation of the atmosphere of the movie (music, characters, space combats). Last mission was too simple, short and a bit awkward (to fly inside the big ship). The ending was shallow. But it was fun, short game, which doesn't require much skill. For the price i got it i'm satisfyed, and maybe even try some of the DLCs. One of them let you fight for the Moon nazis, and another one even introduces RTS elements of commaning the fleet.

P.S. one can always try a demo to get an impression.

Update: don't buy DLCs, they are total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥..

I have played Trine when it first came out, many years ago, and i was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Now, after completing Trine 2 this summer, i have decided to play first one in Steam. And, boy, it looks old. Well, looks are still pretty, especially some places like the Iron Forge. But the physics are bad, comparing to the new one. I know it is not fair. But it was harder to control objects and control heroes in this one. Experience collecting achievements are easier in this one, but still there are some hidden in lava or acid or other invisible places bottles, which made me mad sometimes. And skeletons. I wish there were fewer of them. They usually do not pose any threat and you just have to stand and shoot them, one by one, one by one, hordes of skeletons on every level section. You can skip them, if you don't want to collect enemies experience and if you don't want to level up or get the achievements. Yes, so you have to stand and shoot (or smash with the knight). This just creates boredom in this unique game of physics puzzles. So it could be less dumb enemies and more puzzles, or maybe a few smarter enemies. But i'm still recommending this now a classic game of its genre.

Though i was addicted to it and played maybe 2,5 times to collect all the achievements, can't really recommend it, unless for a big discount. Gameplay is repetitive and becomes stale quickly (collect pocker hands to create attacks). Additional magic spell add a bit flavor. Also the story was interesting. Oh, and the epic music playing all the time becomes annoying after a few minutes :)

I loved the original game on Sega many years ago. So i was thrilled to try this new game. It has some flaws, as it is short and very linear, no voice acting, checkpoints system. Also the matrix/decking mode is just the same turn-based combat with a different skin. Would love to see the original matrix combat. But it is still a little gem with interesting story, characters, nice combat system and visuals. And i've heard the Dragonfall DLC is even better and more refined (with more side quests and choices).

UPDATE: Dragonfall DLC is just amazing. So much better plot and twists. A lot of hard choises to be made, better selection of side quests, a whole town region to live in, lots of interesting characters. And you can now save the game whenever you want :)

Looks are bland. Controls are weird. You have to manage to handle 7 buttons to shoot and look into different directions. But you can't drive normally if you are looking back. So you constantly trying to guess whether someone is close enough behind you to be hit by your back or side weapons and this is annoying. Physics are also goofy. Gameplay is very repetitive and becomes boring very fast. And you can't just quickly restart the race. You have to hop through several menu selections again to do this.. A merely ok game, not recommending.
